I was thinking, the only real way I see bots being decreased is adding SSN# protection like Ksro does while registering. That will knock down a majority of mulit-clients and so forth.

But I can imagine that there will be some major identity theft problems possibly. It could be easier to monitor things I would expect.

Just an idea, but of course it most likely will not be implemented.

Discuss.

It sounds nice but if people can do an sql injection and steal your account
wouldn't you feel safe having your ssn in that database too?

kSRO is limited to only Korean players, and ISRO allows international access, so creating a system that would check the validity of various foreign SSNs would be a bit complicated to say the least.

There is always a way to make it somewhat 99% secure. But I am sure that the developers of Isro divison lack skills in that area considering what hs already transpired.

Perhaps you could be directed to a 3rd party site to confirm identification. As of which that site will be mandated by an online security company that deals with such in order to handle those possibilities in insecurity.

True, but that is why a 3rd party which handles such things could come in handy. But I don't know, it's just a suggestion.

Also they could simply do like WoW and require you to give a valid home address with a valid phone number. That would be much easier than validating SSN#.

I believe I know that already. So thank you for stating something that apparently is not that important for you to bring up. Nice try.

+1 they buy more silk and spend more for jm, so not going to happen.

It won't even happen in ksro, so what do you expect in isro.

More like impossibile. And in some country it is highly illegal to ask for ssn.
