*I believe that, it all started at 70s cape and before TaklaMakan was open, maybe some ppl got bored of Lving up in caves, since DW is the closest place to the caves, they gather there to chill out. And PvP is a good way to chill out, imo.

*Since DW is like the middle town (JG-DW-HT) maybe it's a good reason to congregate ppl there.

*DW gates are closer altogether, compared to JG and HT gates, example: in a job war will takes you decades to reach the outside part of the town, so DW is good due to the reason listed before.

Note: Most of the ppl pvping at JG south are show-offs

Its safe... no mobs to kill you nice big safe zone to watch others

* Low level mobs

* Safe zones close

* Accessible

* All the traders that used to get 1* popped started in DW so the higher level thiefs (and hunters) waited for them there

* Cave near so you can hook up with pvpers between grind runs

with jangan u have to be right inside to be in safe zone and u cant see anything outside...

I think it was mainly because of the trade routes. And now with euro more so because even euros go to dw to trade between dw and jang because of the lower lvl creatures and shorter distance compared to sam and const. All the thieves hang out because all the trade happens here, all the hunters go for the theives and trades, and soon it gets engraved into your head to hang out there, since from a job stand point its the most active place, and pvp for free fights between the jobers why the wait for something, and others go for the mass pvp making more people go.

sam south gate has a nice low lvl pvp scene (L30-lowD7). generally you are safe from D8 tards comin to kill you coz they never go to sam.

Dw is close to the caves and Hotan. JG is just another 5000 gold that doesnt need to be spent especially when the safe zones and gates are easier to get to and through. Wide open spaces is the key. The random fences out JG south cause a problem a little also.

move all the stalls out of hotan and into samarkand, cuz samarkand is like a ghost town and we might as well use it for stalling.

or stall in the streets of constantinople.

Anyone who pvps me has that advantage Every time I go near the comp the internet crashes.. I have to sit as far back in my chair as possible when it starts to lag so things straighten out again.

The REAL reason is because during the 60 cap, all the high level thiefs would end up camping the dw gates for traders walking out, and then hunters would walk out, so a war would start. As more and more people got into the 40+ area, south gate jangan became less and less used as the pvp zone. Also, since it takes so long to walk out the hotan gates, wars became less fun there.... Its just an age old tradition passed down from pro to noob.

it used to be the middle but now its hotan that should be considered as the middle city

i believe donwhang has become the city to pvp for the already stated reasons
it used to be the middle of the job wars, gates are close to the respawn making it faster to rejoin after you died.
think it just also a habit from everyone now if the main unions on each server decided to do all of their wars and pvp in another city people will move to it and it will end up like donwhang

hotan sux,DW 4eva,hotan is too crowded and when u go out of gates there are mobs..dw is different,more space without mobs...no obstacles :O

It's really because hotan doesn't have an open space outside of the gates, and jangan doesn't have coward/anti-asshole friendly safe zones.
