 Post subject: A SUGGESTION TO IMPROVE GAMEPLAY IN SRO

• • • its about the thief job..i wana suggest something to make the job gameplay better...

its better that player thief cant go inside the town, its wierd wearing suits in the town watching traders buying goods, i mean its not realistic that thiefs are obviously seened by trader and hunter watching buying the goods( they are thieves,they are supposed to be WANTED people,,how come these people roam around town freely lol.) [imagine binladen strolling in the streets of the White House..sounds great] . its better that they will go out unnoticed like scavenging or hunting the hunted in the areas of silkroad paths, not like standing near in the trade market in town just like beggars. so if they want to turn into thieves they must be summoned in the bandit towns and cannot enter in towns like samarkand, constantinople,hotan, dongwang, jangan and other up comming towns except their lair which is called the bandit town.

here it is first
1. if they are not in job, they can see traders buying and selling goods, so if they want to be in thief suit they can wear the suit in towns like in constantinople and other towns ."BUT", they will be summoned in bandit towns
2. if they are goin to go out in bandit towns they will be teleported in every spot that they want to teleport.
3. GM will put some linked teleport for thieves in every maps in silkroad because thieves are unpredictable.
(it depends on you GM in silkroad on where u want to put the warp zone or teleport location in a map in a scatter form)
4.thieves cannot use the link teleport if going back to town but they must use the bandit scroll to go back in the bandit's town.

hope that this will be a good suggestion of mine and a better balance triangular conflict in silkroad.

B: while it makes sense, how could you equip the cape then, since it must be in town? also....it wont ever change....think of it this way.....a theif can stand in a store for hours before robbing them.

Listen, you can post all you want about your perfect SRO but guess what, it ain't gonna happen. ALL are updates are from Ksro if you want anything too change 1- you would have to compaint on the Ksro Official site forum 2- you would be lucky if any1 over there could read english 3- the people who make the game make the decisions, it would be rare that they would ask their dear players too help them update (srry if i went to far on some totally random subject^^)

let him at least mention his thoughts, kiddies....

i dont think that it is a good idea to "ban" thiefes from towns.
that means no safezone for them and mostly there are only jobwars, that are somehow exciting

their sry, and if i understood it this is what you want:
A] player equips cape
B] is teleported to a bandit den [tiger mtn?]
C] there are teleports all over the silkroad which he/she can use?
D] cannot enter or get into a 60m radius of a town with a suit on
C] get back to town by scrolling to thief town, and taking off suit there, then; entering town.

i would like to add the following:
E] thief has a choice of whether to continue the trade as a fake trader [X2 spawns] or to jack the trade.

Good point. Instead of prohibiting thieves from entering town, and instantly teleporting players who put on a thief suit to thief town...

They should allow thieves to enter town and rob people within the safe zone.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean allowing thieves to attack and kill people in the safe zone, but perhaps implement a way for thieves to pickpocket traders, or steal goods from their caravan with the risk of being caught.

Maybe allow a hunter (or maybe trader) to kill the thief if caught, or at least get the goods back to the trader or something.

See, it's uninformed comments like this that create more work for GMs and Joymax. In a sense, it is true but you have to think.. How many people bot? Now, consider how most of those botters pay for silk. Paypal. Paypal carries JM as a merchant, and is roughly 80% of their yearly income.. if there is too much conflict with paypal, paypal will stop carrying then, thus having NO way to pay for updates and people who actually do work. So, until they make their own payment method to support the game, it's an issue that's got to be dealt with if you even wish to continue playing.


OT: I do think some of it's a good idea, but you do have to be in a town to equip a thief job item. In order for this to work, there would need to be a thief town NPC in each and every town so thieves could teleport there for free to equip their job item, and be placed in a safezone teleport point outside of cities.
Also, how will you EVER know if there's a trade coming in or out of town if you can't take a peek at the trade shops in town? Traders are scarce enough, sometimes you need a little hint about what's going on.

Not really. The game in general is based on historical events and places. However, riding a camel down a road for days upon days isn't exactly something worth making a game over. So they added magic and monsters and all that fun mumbo jumbo.

Still, the fact remains that there were thieves, traders, and people hired to protect them. If a thief was ever found in a town or city, they would be killed on sight. Maybe GaMeOvEr should have said "practical" rather than "realistic" but either way, its still based on history and it still makes sense.

could you explain how it balances anything?


maybe fore mere aesthetic purpose (that there are no thieves in town)

i mean i always have a person not in thief suit scouting for trades in towns so as not to alert the trader the ensuing rape and pillage. (love stall characters :love: )

the trade system is fairly balanced that is why you have people who take every job depending on their personal preference. There isn't one job better than the other :)

good suggestions obviously from the standpoint of someone who gets robbed repeatedly. The thing is the triangular system is already far leaning towards the hunter/trader side. If you are getting robbed alot then your server is unbalanced not the system. In addition...maybe u should level? and you wouldnt get owned -.-
