so.....i've played this game for about one year. Now couldn't log in for about 10 month or so...but still I like to check rev6 from time to time to see if the servers would let me log in. Well, they don't. :x
Now you may ask why...well here is the answer:

MONEY ! :D

...and nope, it's not joymax i'm making responsable for it...it's the chinese, korean and vietnamese gold sellers.
(some room full of pc's with guys grabbing as much gold and items as they can, payed with about 25 $ a month)

that's also the reason why joymax won't be able to ban all bots for a longer period of time. This illegal enterprises make lot's of money out of this free game without investing a dime...and they won't quit.
EVER !
( i wouldn't quit either would you?)

so it's buying a premium ticket and playing an crowded bot lagged servers or learn chinese or some other asian language  (csro is empty all the time, they even have a button to call an GM, i've tried it they answer instantly, but they don't speak english of course)

the Dude

We no that gold bots come from low paid chinese guys etc...

TBH when you hit 60+ you don't notice gold bots as much as the game gets going at this lvl. Theres more reasons to mingle with legits and you may run passed gold bots once in a while but youll be on your way to hunt a theif nub and won't care :)

Only at low lvls you care as there 100/1 gold bots against you lol

Can someone explain what the different versions of sro mean...

...I know there are different versions but are they owned by different people ?
Joymax owns csro. .. .. . no bots..
Who owns shitsro?
Or is it joymax... i teh confused. ... .
Why wont they do anything in shitsro but in cro they do?

Silkroad was developed originally by some koreans,
Joymax only holds Isro (international) licence.
There are Jsro, Ksro, Csro meaning japanese, korean (original one) and chinese, whitch are all managed by different companies. Only Isro is full with bots and scammers and has no support. :banghead:

im 90% sure that koreans and chinese dont run gold bots. if they did they wouldnt be messing about on sro and they would be hording wow (i kno there are gold bots in wow just hardly any)

its much more likely to be an american or british company with super server computers which run clientless.but meh i could be wrong

Nah
They use bots. Chinese kids would grind more efficiently and they wouldn't follow the exact same route to a grindspot every single time. People aren't that accurate.

But a bot doesn't cost them 25$/month and they can probably run a fe on 1 pc.

:) guy's i've seen recently an report about this chinese botting farms...one payed chinese guy handles hundreds of bots...of course they don't hand grind... but someone has to set the bots up upgrade them and so on...that's the reason there are so many

and yes, there are no japanese gold farms, they're too rich ;) but vietnamese, korean and chinese...Europe or USA would be too expensive labour again...

and they do offer gold and items for almost every game out there...wow included, of course there are fewer in wow, wow is not free ;)

JoyMax Inc, is the official developer and publisher of the franchise "SilkRoad Online". They created the official version in Korea and made the international release almost 12 months after the successful launch in Korea. Yahoo Korea host the official servers for Joymax within Korean.

jSRO, cSRO and vSRO are published by indepedent company's but are still made and updated by JoyMax team. The respective company's only contain a yearly publishing license which is paid directly to JoyMax for the trademark and game updates, translations and so on.
