Ok, so if it does what it says, (not like the fire shield -.-') then it should increase blocking ratio by certain percentage.
Let's say we have 16br shield and 6lvl passive, so the total br would be 16*1,06 = 16,96br. And I think this game has to round-down numbers like these, so it's still 16br :D
Or, maybe it just adds br? 16br + 6 from passive = 22? 22% chance of block, not bad, eh? That would be more likely, because that passive really does help, which wouldn't happen with 16.96br :D
So, does anyone know how it works?

im pretty sure it just adds it on

Example: 10 br shield + 2 br increase from passive = 12br rating.

I'm pretty sure that BR and Critical are expressed as %.

So if you get that shield passive it is effectively increasing your BR by the number. And if you use a skill like anti-devil bow its literally increasing your critical at that moment by the number stated on the skill.

with warrior passive you get mad blocks or mad crits. BR 8 passive at 80 + BR 18 shield = BR 26
Crit 8 passive + Crit 13 sword = crit 21

warrior ftw.

(BR passive same on blader)

While we're on the subject of block and critical, how exactly do block ratio and crit parry work? I assume that block ratio 100 halves the chance of an attack being blocked but that really makes no sense.
