First setup : 2 Warriors, 3 Wizards, 2 Bards, 1 Cleric.

(From a Battle Bard point of view)
Code: Select all

Second setup : 2 Warriors, 2 Wizards, 2 Bards, 1 Cleric, 1 Warlock.

(From Narc, a wizard point of view)
Code: Select all

Both are the best, but I prefer the one with a Warlock in it. Zerk Machine FTW!
what do u guys think?

If the wizards are 87+ then the warlock setup is so much better. Specially when it comes to PTG's they drop in a blink. But if your going to level up some 80 ~ 85 wizards the first setup is better imo. That's how I see it happening in Odin.

Rogue just ruins the exp flow with their knock down and knock back.

Absolutely no rogues.

Replace a wiz for a rogue = Way low overall dmg. Less AOE attacks.
Replace a tank for a rogue = Lost 2 quota, 2 magical fence, 2 physical fence.
Replace a bard for a rogue = Lost Dance of Wizardry, 1 tambour.
Replace a warlock for a rogue = Way low DPS, no Zerk Machine, no 30 seconds PTG down. :p
Replace a cleric for a rogue = Stupid.

Sry rogues, go solo or get bard/warrior sub.

When the cleric/warlock switches, all cleric buffs will go down and need to rebuffs again. In a continous flowing mobs pt, it cant be done.

I didn't replace anything. If everyone does their job properly stray mobs will rarely go after the ints. Technically speaking warriors should only be "vulnerable" for about 30 seconds. Who said a rogue has to KB and KD? Just lure, it's their purpose. Sub Classes play a role here. Cast holy recovery division and there won't be a need for rampant spamming especially if a warrior uses skins and everyone has their quota/fence. With 2 Wizard/Clerics and a Wizard/Warlock you'll never lack bless. Your tanks would be able to tank and chasing mobs all over the place while overwhelming one warrior with mobs will be a thing of the past. You mean str+int? Unnecessary.

>You. =] I guess you need a video. It doesn't include a warlock but it is the same method I described above.

Code: Select all

Just a third option for people that see a reason for using rogues. I have done a party with a rogue luring in the past and it worked much better than the cluster-**** where people die a few times before everything is going perfectly.

I don't know if you knew already but Warlocks can act as some amazing lurers. Just give me Pain quota and I will go fetch a stampede of freshly debuffed mobs to the party. Much more efficient than having a rogue in the party.

Well, I never "knew" it. I thought about it before but I didn't really try to put it to work.

I did (have a euro), in the past. I have a new character (chinese) but I'm focusing on school atm, no more time for leisure. Wasted 18 days of ticket time. >_>

I was willing to let anyone in my parties that could play a role until the character that does it better wanted to join. Then again, being uber close to the mobs actual level isn't what I would call a true test environment. Meh, random ramblings of a former SRO player.

You will never have a perfect party setup if you want to include a rogue. No doubt that they (the vids) are the best way to grind.

Rogues are still better than having no damage dealer. This is just the 'perfect' setup, but may be replaced by other builds if there is none of these available.

zzz.. 4-5 wizards? Sux to be one of the 2 wizards with no fence/quota. And all the wiz and cleric will cry for mp. And for Barotix. U're talking about theories and low lvl mobs video. We're talking from real time experience. With our own char and our own party.

Personally I <3 having a warlock in any pt I'm in, just makes the grinding efficacy that much better.

Best pt setup I've experienced = 2 war, 2 bard, 2 wiz, 1 cler, 1 lock

The cleric keeps casting orbit and a fence/pain on everyone else, but obviously the warriors and cleric.

Warriors are pullers not tankers and the wizards deal way to much damage to keep a monster alive and even allow an attack to go off.

MP Comes from their pots..? You don't need a bard to help with their mana if theyre in robe with their passive reduce.

idk if you've grinded in an euro pt, but..
you cannot, grind, without a bard.

very good videos, it's so good to see people playing an euro party as it shud be.

in my guild, we do this:

1 warrior
1 cleric
1 bard
1 warlock
1 rogue (lures with rapid shot, etc)
2 wizards or 3 wizards, and sometimes 2 bards/2 wizards.

and the party keeps busy and the exp goes wild on us, which is what every1 needs :P

Okay then i'll get video later this week of lv 80s~90s grinding on 85/87s, but first I gotta get my own internet back zz. Mobile modem is sweet, but fail since it has no stable connection.

You can grind without a bard.

@Above Amelie I'm not wrong they aren't casting 10k nukes every 2 seconds.

Wow, so very wrong. 15sec duration for next pot isnt even close to enough. a bard is a must. Why would ther e be any if didnt fill any purpose? All builds have a puprose.
