I've been level 27 for 3 days now and I've been grinding all day! I don't get it! My friend gains approx. 1 level per hour and 2 days ago he was 12 levels behind me, now hes 6 levels ahead of me.
He's not a botter, just a good grinder since he grinded to 87, but then his char got bugged and had to start again.
I'm a level 27 wizard and so is my friend, how come he levels faster than me?
Is there any grinding tips? I grind on those level 30 rock guys in DW
Do you go drink a cup of coffee after killing every few bunch of mobs? you gotta be discipline enough to sit infront of the computer hitting 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3 furiously for hours to lvl up fast
Everything Azilius said + a monkey. Monkey helps a lot. Also take into account gap. Try to kill multiple enemies in 1 hit, you have many aoe skills to do so.

this is my problem with grinding i do want.. more action
they are "grinding" for days but not going up at all...
The ppl from the time before bots/plvl know how to grind. The new players just kill 2 mobs, go to srf, kill 2 mobs, get a cup of coffee, kill 2 mobs, die, bitching for 20 minutes in guild chat, kill 2 mobs, teleporting to town and searching for nothing in stalls
and all that combined with bitching about leveling so slowly and that high levels have it so easy because they get way more exp per mob and so on....
if you grind for 3 days ACTIVLY (not the way i mentioned above), you will see that you will level hard, realy hard.
First check your gap, with a 9 gap you can't level up fast. Don't try too high level mobs but stick on mobs that you can kill with maximum two shots. Look for a spot with high spawn rate, avoid ongs. At your level you can try Haran's tower.
And try to play like bots do, find out the best combination to kill mobs. Fire nuke, before the mob is death look already around for the next one (use the mini map for that), click on it and start the earth nuke, click already on the next mob, fire nuke again, etc.... You're able to kill a mob every 3 seconds.
And look how your friend is doing and ask him how he is doing it.
If you don't know what a gap is, it's the difference between your level and your highest mastery. Let's say that you are level 30 and your highest mastery is 28, you have gap 2; if your highest mastery is 25 you have gap 5. It's very important in the game because monsters don't give the same amount of XP and SP for a different gap. The higher the gap the more SP you get and very low HP. Gapping is a way of gathering SP in the game, in it's most extreme form (gap 9, removing your gained level by letting you killed by mobs to stay at the same level) is called farming. Some players stay in the same spot for one mont gathering a couple of 100 k SP before going higher. Nice places to farm are the chin tombs, stronghold and later the caves because of the very fast spawning rate of the mobs.
Good luck with it.

thats really slow if you only get 18 levels in 2 days. I made 23 in the first day of Gaia (didn't use my prem + ticket until second day). I've made lvl 73 in 24 days since Gaia.^^ Slow lvlers
