I am kinda new here......you can tell by my post count. I did a search for this and did not come up with anything, so please forgive me if it is a repeated question.

I have started a character with a 1hand and shield, but found a 2hand as a drop and tried it.

Which is better? And why?

Thank you in advance for your patience and answers.

2h is better for damage, 1h for defense
both are good and not really better than other

most just prefer 2h because they like high damage and dont know teamwork :D, but 2h is good for soloing

im playing a warrior specced into both... as well as cleric. ive found that 2h has the damage but takes more where as 1h has more chance at surviving then 2h. for the reduction in damage and shield. but has little less damage.

1H is better for party play, since you can survive easyer because of your shield, and your skills doesnt knock down the mobs (wizards cant attack knocked down foes).

2H is better por PvP / soloing because of its huge damage and knockdown/knockback.

1h is mostly for party play, slow to solo.
Dual-axes do ok, more dmg than 1h, can inflict status like bleed and stun.
2h: Turn Rising + triple swing, nuff said ;-) It's very good in PvP but some of the skills aren't useful in parties.

For a slightly easier sp farm take only a couple skills from 2h and 1h. Most warriors take bits from all three skill trees though and that's a lot of SP.

i'd take just axes if you want to solo+pt play and not sp farm...

axes do well enough in pts anyways, even without 1h...
axes kill fast enough to solo
