hi, i just started playing silkroad and am really trying to figure out how it works so bear with me! just have a few questions

1. If you pick chinese or european can you still see a person on a european character if your on a chinese character?

2. Is chinese or european more popular? is it hard to find items in one or the other more?

3. what level should i begin adding skills, or should i wait altogether until like level 20?
Im extremely confused on when to add/not add skills to get the best sp/xp, really confused in that area :[

4. I was thinking about being a pure intel glaive character on chinese, is this a good/terrible idea for a newbie? :[

5. if not is pure str glaive better?

so sorry for all my noob questions, just really trying to get my head around this game..

thanks for your time!

You can see other race. Might take awhile since you'll grind in your own country for a bit before reaching the mixed areas.

European is more popular due to the higher dmg. Bout the same to find items.

If you add skills as you lvl up, you get more xp, but less sp, so eventually you'll run out of sp. If you wait and add sp later, you'll get more sp as you grind, but less xp so it takes longer to lvl up. It's about either farming sp for awhile, or balancing it and lvling up fast with skills, than opening a gap to get some sp, than closing it and lvling up again.

4. I was thinking about being a pure intel glaive character on chinese, is this a good/terrible idea for a newbie? :[
No, for chinese, spear sword are int, glaive blade are str, bow is usually str, sometimes hybrid.

5. if not is pure str glaive better?
yup

so sorry for all my noob questions, just really trying to get my head around this game..

thanks for your time!

thanks alooooot!
youv really helped me clear up my confusion,
i think il choose a chinese character, i like the weapon choices/looks more than the european
im thinking pure int spear sword
what would you say if i kept pumping skills to the max till level 25
then grinded at 25 for skill xp
and how many skill xp points should i save up if i were to grind at 25??
thanks aloooot!

Umm if you're going to be pure int, you will need ice for phy def increase and the snow shield which takes the dmg and deals some to hp and some to mp. That being though, the magical nukes of ice are insanely weak. I would say pick either sword or spear, than ice + either light or fire.

Bich Light Ice = high dmg and speed.
Bich Fire Ice = med dmg, better mag def, fire wall, and immunity
Heuk Fire/Light Ice = same as above. You sacrifice more defense for more offense with spear, that's the biggest diff.

If you want two different weapons, than be a pure str. Since you can go fire + 2 weps. It's about tradeoffs. For Chinese characters, you want to stick with only 3 masteries.

I would say just play your character. Maybe keep a 3 gap for awhile. Say lvl 25, skills 22. lvl 44, skills 41. You won't be able to get every single skill, but you'll have fun.
