So I've been reading around a couple guides and such and noticed that when people recommend a protector for EURO chars they mention that garms increase moving speed and reduce mp consumption. I then noticed on joymax.com that EURO protectors do NOT have ANY special characteristics. So you sacrifice no speed buff or mp reduction picking armor, protector, or garms.
So who is right? I would assume joymax.com, but who knows?

Pretty sure I can tell the difference between a char in protector and robes
My bard in robes casting march on my rogue in LA, for example.
I use my laptop and put the bard on trace to the rogue, he's running faster than the rogue. Conversely if I put the rogue on trace on the bard, he has a really hard time keeping up to him.
both ways using either no moving march or the exact same march speed - i.e. in a party.
Granted a higher level character may be moving slightly faster than a lower level char, but I was told robe does make you faster, and uses less MP.

well in regards to mail, safeguard and taoist garb, yes ^_^ that's not the names of the Chinese gear, you probably already know that it's armor, protector and garment.
Compare a warrior in heavy armor and a warrior in robes, you'll see a difference when they run. So the speed is definitely different, as to whether there is an "effect" like less mp use, I can't 100% say. Just what I was told.

There is actually a difference in mp consumption, i don't remember if it was a big diff or no but try using a skill in HA then robes, u will see the difference
