 Post subject: pk2 problemems

ok well i am just learning how to mess with my pk2..... and so far im trying to turn my iron clad into a pegasus...... welll i make "cos\c_pegasus.bsr" into"cos\c_dhorse2.bsr" then make cos\c_horse2.bsr" into "cos\c_horse2.bsr" that should work its an animal thats meant to be ridden and i can load the game
the game is fine until i click my ironclad then the game just closes out and gives me the ????? error soooooooo im absolutelly confused because on the link above "the tutorial with the guide" it says that i put it in right but sro just cant create it ..... sooooo>??????? does it mean i cant use because its not implamented yet??

i also tried the rudolf *switched with* ironcad * no go ghost rider* idk what im doing wrong

why cos\c_Dhorse? try replace cos\c_horse1.bsr with cos\t_lizard.bsr and see if it works

if you stop using find and replace i might consider helping.

otherwise gd luck.

find and replace = fail.
stop using it NOW before you noob pk2 editors get pissed off with game crashing

ight well i have an extractor for the pk2 but when i clicked extract it extracted succesfully but yet i didnt know were the pc extracted 2 lol
soooooooo i looked for a diff way to pk2 edit and this is the one that worked so if you would kindly help me ether way idc it would be nice......

i used cos\c_Dhorse1.bsr because that is the code for ironclad cos\c_horse1.bsr is red horse lol

cos\c_dhorse1.bsr got one more letter then cos\c_horse1.bsr that's why u fail

wwwwwwrong :D

2bytes wont upset the balence xD its when you have maybe.... 10-20

drew benton extractor, extract it. then look in the pk2 tools folder and find it.
then look for what you want to change and what you want to change it into, and replace there BSR's (swap them around)
save, and your good to go.

always f,cked up for me when it was 1 byte more , but well that was with find/replace before i started useing drew's

find and replace never is a sucessful thing.
when i found out how much it altered, its really not that good method of doing it.
