I run my SRO on Vista and for no particular reason..every few minutes I get a "????" or a "program not responding" message...anyone know why? and how to fix it?

Also...I'm constantly getting DC'd due to a "program not responding" message..I mean, I know it's not bc my comp is slow or not enough RAM...it's just Vista fhkin with me...anyone know how to get rid of this one?

Go to your Silkroad folder in Program files, right click on your sro_client.exe and click properties. The click on the compatibility tab and check the box at the top that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and then press ok. If that doesn't work then update your drivers and stuff.

Ok...after downloading it...it's still not working. Do I need Visual Studios for Vista to run the SDK program?

Also...I'm constantly getting DC'd due to a "program not responding" message..I mean, I know it's not bc my comp is slow or not enough RAM...it's just Vista fhkin with me...anyone know how to get rid of this one?

Getting the same problem. Never got this many ???? errors. EVER PERIOD! So its not on our side or our fault all my drivers are up to date. Someone could be trying to spawn or do something to give us the ???? error. I get it at random times Grinding, walking out the gate or just standing there. been like this for the last 2 days its almost impossible to do anything.

Magnus how is it vistas fault when all my other fcuking games work. Ive got about 7 mmorpgs installed on this machine and they all work fine with no crashes like this.

Its obvious its the game.

For the problem people are recently posting about, its not an OS, driver, computer issue. Its the game itself.

...Waiting for a fix.

Crashing in towns mainly especialy hotan, cant go to hotan without at least 1 crash.

ok this is how i made SRO to work on my vista with 2 dual cores or more,
first login to SRO, then open task manager
then click SHOW PROCESSES FROM ALL USERS,
then find SRO and right click it and go to SET AFFINITY,
then uncheck (CPU 1) dont touch CPU 0, then click OK.
that should work for u!!!
