****FIXED*****
-------------------

I'm not really sure why sro won't load under Ubuntu + Wine. I did this before and it worked fine, now it doesn't want to.

In Wine, I have both silkroad.exe, sro_client.exe set for win98 and pixel shader on. I have the same wine settings as I had last time I got sro running so I don't think Wine's settings are the issue.

Anyways, loading silkroad.exe with Wine brings up the Loader. It connects, updates and all that wonderful stuff. I hit Start, gg connects, updates and so on. GG isn't the problem either I beleive. When all that finishes sro loads and crashes immediately after it loaded.

The only clue I'm left with is:

Code:
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 59 (SPI_SETSTICKYKEYS)
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_CheckDeviceMultiSampleType Quality levels unsupported at present
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_GetAvailableTextureMem (0x1b6098) : stub, simulating 64MB for now, returning 64MB left
fixme:keyboard:RegisterHotKey (0x2002a,0,0x00000001,13): stub
fixme:keyboard:RegisterHotKey (0x2002a,2,0x00000001,115): stub
fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl unsupported WS_IOCTL cmd (c8000006)
fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl unsupported WS_IOCTL cmd (c8000006)
fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl unsupported WS_IOCTL cmd (c8000006)
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_ResourceReleased Vertex buffer released while bound to a state block, stream 0
fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext (0x30026, 0x162300): stub
fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext (0x30024, 0x162300): stub
fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext (0x30032, 0x162300): stub
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 59 (SPI_SETSTICKYKEYS)
fixme:dbghelp:MiniDumpWriteDump NIY MiniDumpScanMemory
err:seh:raise_exc

I have feisty fawn with: 2.6.20-16-generic
And wine-0.9.33.

Anyone experience the same thing and found a fix, or realized what the problem is?

yes, post it there dammit :banghead:

No reason to make a new thread for it when you can potentially help other people AND get your question answered quicker.

You didn't think about actually posting your problems in a thread that has 10 pages already, and get's more attention than any of the other threads?
