Been getting this error for sometime now... it doesn't crash my system or the sro client but it's incredibly irritating! :banghead: it pops-out from time to time (whenever I play SRO).

Odd thing is that... there are times that it doesn't pop-out at all

Anyone getting this error msg? :? How do you fix it?

FYI, I have the updated drivers for my video card installed already

Would you happen to be using an ECS motherboard?

It's a hardware error, what you need to do is completely uninstall your video card and then reinstall with the drivers on the website, NOT THE CD. I had this error a while back for SWAT 4. Annoying as hell.

An update guys:

This error didn't crash my system... it's just simply annoying! :banghead: since it'll pop-up from time to time... Well, I thought it was due to a hardware conflict... so I updated my drivers (video card, motherboard), unfortunately the error still persisted.

Odd thing bout this error message is that -> I tried another MMORPG this week (RAN Online) and there I found out that I was also getting the same error message.

So I did a google search.

I first searched for the error message and found out that there are people who were also experiencing what I was experiencing; unfortunately no solutions were posted. It then occured to me... the [u]TITLE BAR![/i] It shows msmsgs.exe Application Error! Man! I didn't see it :banghead: It was an application! Did a google search and found resources about it.

http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/msmsgs.exe.html

Some say that it's a trojan... some say it's MS Messenger... well regardless of whether it's a legit program or not... I decided to remove it :P (well since I don't use MS Messenger in the first place). Besides... why the heck will it be running (sending information) whenever I play an online game? :?

I used the 'Run' command in Windows and entered:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Now I can play without the annoying error message anymore! Weee! :D
Warning though... if you're using MS Messenger and getting this error message... maybe you should only disable it while you play online games :) instead of using the command above :D
