first of all, it's seemingly needlessly 13 MB. For the changes they made, it should be a couple kilobytes. Then I noticed why. In the list of files it was patching, it mentioned a whole bunch of stuff about Europe, which is an entire area that wasn't added to the english version of the game yet. I think they added all the textures, maps, monsters, and skin files for all of Europe! I don't remember seeing Europe on the map now so they must have it disabled for the moment but I'd expect to see it in a few weeks. I dunno if Europe has like lvl 70+ monsters and they'd have to raise the lvl cap or if it's just different or what but I know it's another trade location. Releasing updates for the top 5% (by level) of players in any game has tended to piss people off in any game though (Runescape's update last week
) and since all high lvls are botters in this game, I don't think it'd go over well to add an area that only lvl 70's can walk through without dying. Anyway, I can't even run to Hotan cuz of the damn spiders so I don't care one way or another if they add a further away place.
Another important thing about the patch is that it completely resets a whole lot of your graphics settings, including turning shadows back on circle! TURN SHADOWS OFF no matter how fast your computer is cuz they coded em wrong and will make U lag horribly. Also there seems to be a ton of glitches with the graphics in general until you set them back to whatever settings you had before so do that ASAP.
