Ok, so i recently started playing Jsro.
But all the text shows as ?????? and i cannot read what people say.

I think it is possible by editing the client, but i want to know for sure.

Would it be possible to install an English language pack over the Japanese pack so the text would show as English?

Or, how could i write in Japanese in-game cos when i change my keyboard to write in Japanese it writes in Japanese in IE, firefow, wordpad ect but just goes back to english in-game.

Hey what server you playing on? Theres like 10 people in Jangan but none speak english

Play the game in a windowed mode. Then click on the text bar and change the keyboard settings from Direct Input to Hiragana or Katakana.

@JordaNz: I play on Indus, but I don't think you can expect much English speaking people, most of the time they can't or will not speak English, you're lucky if they type in romanji for you.

Btw, i am on KonRon.. I found a guild on there that has a few english speaking players who help me out with gold/translations ect

That's nice, it definitely comes in handy if you have a buddy on JSRO that is/speaks Japanese in case you're confused.

See when i play Csro And I Doo the Pk2 file edit i see all ???????
but When i Do the Pk2 Edit For JSRO i See everything english man and i play on Iaruan i think and theres like not alot off people lol is there a bot for jsro cuz im bored by my self.

I expect you to have the Japanese Language Pack already installed, else you can download it. Just type Japanese Language Pack in Google.

First, you need to change the language settings on your computer.

Go to Countrysettings, choose Advanced, and choose Japanese as language. (You'll have to restart the computer.)

In the right part of the bar, you see the icon for your keyboard.
Right-click it, choose properties.
Choose Japanese - Japanese Inputsystem MS-IME2002.
Click OK.

The blue icon in the right corner of the bar shows what language you are currently using for your keyboard.
Choose Japanese as your language.

However, for you only the icon with the A is important.

If you wish to type in Japanese in SRO, but you only seem to be able to type the normal alphabet, minimize the game by pressing windows button + alt + enter. This will cause your game to play in windowed mode.

Make sure you clicked in the textbar,

Then, click the symbol with the A, and choose Hiragana　(ひらかな(H)), mostly used in JSRO) or Katakana, which uses simpe characters.

If you wish to type in the Western alphabet, choose for the option with (D) in the end.

If you want the game to display in English.

You won't be able to see what people say to you in Japanese though.
