lol, i believe the cardboard box is blocking that vent in your laptop

since you can pick up your laptop and look under it, you'll see a little vent or something

if not, then i guess its just my own laptop

Suspend your laptop from the cieling, it gives tremendous ventilation :)

I think this is what he means.
1/ extra height = better ventilation
2/ this pad has also fan(s), cooling the laptop
3/ the diagonal stance of the laptop is theoretically better for the wrists, although it takes some time to get used to.

PS: That image is not my on laptop nor is the cooling pad

i have another question now:

is it possible and if possible, is it cheap to change/add parts to my laptop such as a dual core cpu, more memory or add another internal fan?

More memory - yes
CPU - very difficult, if not impossible
Fan - again very difficult, probably impossible

Might as well get an Antec 900 (2x 120mm front fans 1x rear fan 1x 200mm top fan and you can add 1x 120mm side fan and 1x internal 120mm fan)and build your own PC (thats what I did)

Replacing of components depends on ur MotherBoard.
1. Does ur motherboard support Core2 duo or duo core2??
2. Does ur motherboard support the fan u wanna change??

Big Warning. Replacing the components is a risky thing to do. A mistake could result in an expensive paper weight so be very careful.

If you have a techie do it, then u might end up spending few $$$$ :P
