If u know what graphic card u have:
Go to:
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML
OR
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

And give in the proper information
They will give u the required drivers -> download -> install -> reboot -> fixed (adjust refresh rate if necessary)

If u don't know what graphics card u have:
press windows Key & Pause/Break button
-> Hardware
-> Devive Manager
-> There u look for Display(drivers) or something that is "unidentified (missing the driver ;) )"

Thanks Razorhead for your reply, in the end my dad reminded me that he did a copy of the CD with my new drivers on. However, many thanks for that other solution. :D
