Out of curiosity, how well does the Force tree do on a pure int build?

Now the classic pvp sword'n'shield build is Bich/Cold/Fire

The classic pve sword'n'shield build is Bich/Cold/Light

But could Bich/Cold/Force work as a character? What would the upsides and downsides be? Has anyone made one?

LVL 7X INT hybrid spear/ice/force, It seems very good, Force makes ice hit higher, and snow shield allows him to stay alive, and with some HP, you are good to go, btw, you can use higher snow shield, cuz of garments, and extra MP from force :D

EDIT: credits go to fintan1337 on epvp/youtube, its his/her char.

and i had just asked him how the build is :sohappy:
almost dejavu like.

weapon/ice/force int hybrid seems a very viable path to go

weapon for offense
ice for defence
force for offense and defense

I have heard much about force hybrids indeed.

But, how does a pure int force build fare?

the closest i have gotten to being full int force was when i only used skills from ice and bicheon on my s/s nuker.
then i had a guild member debuff my opponent every 20 seconds to see the damage difference.
Of course my opponent found it unfair and left after a few losses.

It should just be a pure int with higher mp ...
restricted to only using ice and having the opportunity to cure bad status, debuff and selfheal.

sounds cool :)

That does sound cool.

A while back when I asked about 1:2 int hybrids, I gave it a try and made one. I found by lvl 20 that yes, it's actually a boring build.

I went back and made a warrior, who's in the 40's now. But it can get so boring leveling a warrior that I felt I needed another char for a bit of a change of pace.

So I've been leveling a pure int S/S on the side. Although I really like grasswalk, the rest of the light mastery feels just boring to.

If Force is indeed viable (as in, pure int can actually survive to put those debuffs on), then I might start to delevel light and level force instead when the char hits 20.

you will notice the impact of the force skill tree after you get your first real debuff with lvl 60 so you'll be a bit disappointed if you choose to evaluate the build at such a low level :(

(same goes for s/s and bow 70:70 since they get the cooler and more dangerous moves at 8-9d)

Wow, I just gave it a try, and I'm already seeing a difference! I've always ignored the self heal spell series, thinking it was pointless as the pots could do the work anyways, but damn, that self heal spell is useful! I've already survived three situations I know I would normally have died at!

I'll miss grasswalk, but the force tree has my full attention.

as soon as you are in a high spawn place like donwang caves it barely matters :)
but yeah, keeping it for more boring locations would be a good advice

I've deleveld Light, because although you guys are right, I don't like getting used to something I'm going to lose use of later. It's better for me to just go with the pure build from early on.

Update on the character: She's lvl25 now, and doing surprisingly well. Doesn't hit as hard as a fire/light build, but she's tanking as if she were a full str build. Can't wait till I get to the first nuke.
