Hi there, I am new to sro on the Venice server. I made a bow person with protectors and I have some questions about how I should level it up and stuff.

1. Which monster drops arrows and money?
2. Where is the bank?
3. Should I make my char 2:1 Strength over Intelegence? or a strength pure, or that 70:70 then 80:80 thing? I am looking to be a decent theif and pvp person.
4. If I hit an opponent with an ice arrow thing, will it slow their attack down? If so would that be good as a bow person, to like slow glaive people and those who run away?

Tips for the new bow person please? I looked around the guides and stuff but a lot of the terms are confusing.

I've played Ultima Online & Runescape, but never a real 3d mmo besides sro which i just downloaded, i usually play shooters but I am bored of shooters.

<<<<< How do i add that Venice flag thing right there?

1. All monsters drop arrows and money as far I know.
2. Bank in the first town is in the center of the city near the fountain, if by bank, you mean storage.
3. I really don't want to pick one over the other, so I'll give some pros and cons.
2:1 Str Hybrid
Pros
-Higher Overall Damage than Pure Str
-More Magic Defense than Pure
Cons
-Less Health and Physical Def than Pure
-Critical deals less damage than Pure
Pure Str
Pros
-High Critical Damage
-Best Health out of the 3
Cons
-Weakest overall damage
-Less Magical Defense
70:70
Pros
-Higher Overall Damage than than the other 3
-More Magic Points(MP) than the other 3
Cons
-Weakest Critical Damage
-Less Health than the rest
I am not sure on my info on the 70:70 as it's still experimental from what I hear. As for the other info, it should be correct. Keep in mind the pros and cons deal just w/ the archer builds, and are not a comparison w/ other weapons.
4. I suggest you use fire as your imbue for better results in pvp and pve b/c of greater damage output.
Hope this helps you out.

Critical damage is the damage done from an occasional large hit, and its damage relies on strength. Therefore players who focus on criticals, usually apply all or most of their points to strength.
Overall damage is the damage done on a shot by shot basis excluding critical. The people who focus on this usually have some or a lot of points in intelligence.
The common belief is that an archer should rely on his crits and therefore should be pure strength. However, my opinion is that an archer should focus on both damages, and thus should opt for another build(str hybrid or 70:70 are examples). By focusing on both, your damage output is balanced and so you won't have to rely on just one or the other. Your critical and overall damage may be weaker than the extremes(pure int and pure str), but by going in between, you can hit the best of both worlds.
This is just my opinion. It's your character, so i advise that you create a character you can enjoy and don't be afraid to stray from the norm.
