2:1 int hybrid s/s...
At the moment lvl 38, 6 gap (Bicheon/Ice/Light/Fire at 32)
I don't plan on putting anything more in fire due to the recent update and to make the char fairly future-proof (mastery cap).
Ice up to 43 (1st book Forst Nova Woods) or 60 for last-but-one Mana Shield book.
Balance 70/75 (I have pooey gear, really...)

So after a quick search on the forum, it seems that so far most comments are either:
1. Getting mag balance to 85%ish (which in my case would mean putting 3 more point in str, i.e. 40 points gand total - yes I like nice round numbers - and then going int all the way till lvl 80)
2. Or taking Master_Wong's (sorry if I misspelled) way and going spear instead; quite an expensive path, donations accepted...

Bicheon + Heuksal passive is a no-no.

Though I wonder, is there anyone with actual experience of that build?
Especially after the update (new sword chain, new light nuke...)

Thanks in advance.

You need fire. Point

1 The nukes will be your secondary while your light is recharging
2 Magical defence is going to be an issue with that build still.
3 Imbue...duh
4 Physical damage...You'd be surprised how much you need phys damage as a s/s

Knockdowns should be part of your bread and butter which factor in quite a bit of physical damage esp at the balance you're talking about.

If you don't want to do KDs...get a spear

Your final build should be something like

80 fire 80 light 70 Ice 70 Sword
With about 10k hp and 17k mana

Good luck mate.

Thanks for the input though:
1. I'm primarily concerned about str/int distribution, i.e. 2:1 go or no-go?
You seem to somehow not ditch it... No clear cut standpoint though :)

2. Fire imbue: ok, stronger on a single target, yet I prefer the splash damage and transfer of lightning imbue for utility purposes (light imbue + frost nova = kodak moment). Not grinding 80 something levels for pointless e-peen cape fights outside DW ;)

3. 80/80/70/70... Max mastery, that might be fine and dandy for now, however with a new cap lurking at the corner, I'd rather no take that route (started playing over a year ago, and this is my highest lvl char, to give you an idea...)

4. Backup nuke... yeah well I guess I'll have to come up with something :D

Edit: I guess I'll go the "all int" route actually... Not having phy. power and mag. resistance will have less impact.

i know fire has more powerful imbue, and can be secondary nuke, it is not really necessary to have.

1) although fire can be a secondary nuke, but by level 70, you will get another light nuke making it 3. the 2nd book is good enough to be your secondary while the 3rd can be your primary.

2) if you do not get ice, you are basically killing yourself right there. because glavies can crit well over 10k with mars, triple stun, boom you are dead. mana shield should be used by all hybrid int/pure int.

3) light also have int mag buff, parry buff, parry passive. ice has phy def+ buff, phy def passive, and another aoe nuke. which is great when leveling. use light nuke -> ice 2nd book. = mass aoe mob killing. fastest exp

4) if you do 80 fire 80 light 70 Ice 70 Sword, u will be weaksawce for 90 cap and 100 cap.

light nukes > fire nuke
light mag% buff > fire flame body
light grasswalk > fire
light parry > flame body
ice mana shield > stealth detector (in fire series)

the only reason to get fire is for immunity. but i would still get ice over it.

also u might wanna check up on that link below http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

Good idea to point out the second light nuke book.
Ok here's a straight question:
Since I'm gonna leave out Fire from now on, going more int heavy is the way to go, right?
