I been thinking about which would be better to wear lvl 72-77 and perhaps when the 90 cap hits as well as a pure int S/S.

In Pvp.

Taking the defensive buffs and permanent def increase in account and also the new Mana Shield from Cold would it justify choosing Garms over Protector?

Nothing is the best, what matters is the situation in which you are in.

For example if you're lvl 80 with garms fighting an int then you have the advantage. But what if you have your snow shield and it runs out while you are fighting a pure str glavie and you have garms. Snow shield does not last forever but its really your choice on what you want.

I too am a pure int and its a real pain when I have to fight a full garm int. But what I suggest is using protector. I dropped fire to 60, 80 ice, 80 light, and 80 bicheon. With full armor I can almost guarantee that another pure int will kill me easily. With protector you still have a good physical, and magical defense after snow shield has ended.

As a pure int(S/S) especially in PVP situations I think u either kill somebody in that 2Min "snowshield" period or u die.Pure int are meant to kill fast not to tank and 2 whole minutes of pvping is ALOT for a pure INT S/S.

Especially when going against Pure STR .When that 2 minute period of not being able to kill passes, only running is your alternative.Protector wont make the difference to get the kill and running from a STR based char who is wearing garm is like a race between a turtle and a horse if the INT player is wearing protector.

One other question though,Can Ironwall Shield be used after SnowShield is in Cooldown period?

Just wondering cause im considering changing from Protector to Garments..I would appreciate any opinions as to why that would be a bad idea when taking the new "2minutes kill or die skill in account(snowshield)"

Good point but its still a situational fight.

I have fought people that I could not kill during the 2 min of snow shield just because they throw theirs up as well (pure str and hybrids). But after the snow shield ends its really free game, whether you can take the hits long enough to kill your opponent. This is probably when you'd like to activate castle wall. It lasts 14 seconds with a 1 min cool down, it will keep you alive for that time. But you'll still have about 44/45 seconds where only your buffs, armor, and shield will be your only line of defense.

And you may not see the difference between protector but I have. I have switched from prot to armor and I'm going to switch back. With my old prot set I was able to take 2 nukes from a pure int. Now I'm lucky if I can take one.
