Definitely go pure STR.
As for a subclass, I don't see warlock being very beneficial, as you'll do good damage already. Cleric is a possible choice, especially for party play. If you prefer to go solo more, you may want to consider a bard subclass.
Have fun.

true
sub:
cleric if you want to be a 1on1 god for those 45seconds
bard if you want to be a "mob slayah for life" with crazy moving speed
but crossbow is indeed one of the coolest grind builds
you can kill easy making hand grinding fast for a str based build
you are like a china bow on steroids

go cleric for partying (you can also sub in as cleric)
i suggest going bard though, your faster and better for grinding
and get both xbow and daggar you will be boring for a very long time because you won't get new skills until 40

If you ever try a full, or near fully, party when you're Lv20 and above, both Bard and Cleric will be useful. There SHOULD be another Cleric and Bard mainclass in the party, so wouldn't Cleric be a better choice, since you SHOULD have the Bard buffs and Recovery Division on.
I'm leaning towards using Cleric, but I don't know if my friends want to level with me, since they're ahead of me.

People praise the Cleric sub as the best for PvP, since you can always powerlevel (and not need the Bard sub). It even allows you to tank, since towards high levels, people play less and less, so you usually do not even have a Warrior for mob control. [Well, it's more like everyone else will wait for you to hit first.]
Otherwise, I see many rogues and wizards leveling without desperate/extreme and life control out of fear of random death. Daggers I can see why, but as for the other two, it's disappointing. Noise is good for PvE.
Not everyone plays 24/7, yet not everyone can get powerlevelled. Watcha gonna do? xD

that's the only thing i like about them, oh wait..... i do like extreme.
if you want to pvp, go with cleric as sub.
but, you can sub as bard, or just rogue on its own.

you dont need noise, just avoid agro mobs and buy some horse pots and you wil get everywhere..
and you will get more grind pt's if you have some cleric buffs...
rogue/cleric best build
and the xbow crits are and you can grind much higher mobs.. same as wizzard without dying as much as a wizard
xbows = total pwnge xD

rogue has some cool other skills as well
cleric is cool for when it gets a tad slow
change real quick heal self then back to rogue for more mobs

Actually it takes a lot of time, and impossible to do in highly-aggro areas, lots of people make that mistake and take Cleric for the healing but they will end up never using it, and Cleric will just serve them for the buffs.
Cleric got some interesting buffs but i would go Bard, a good Rogue can already kill anyone in PvP in less then 5 hits so what's the point on wasting his SP for tanking abilities? There is not a lot of sun users on Saturn anyways and these are the only ones that can easily kill Rogues over and over again at the moment. In grinding Bard is way more useful too, Clerics are so popular these days anyways that you have a 60-70% chance to find a Cleric in almost every party you join who will apply the buffs for you, so Noise and Moving March would be far more useful to prevent random deaths and increase speed.

Does Recovery Division work for the horse? Or can I only cast it when people are around(party members)? Because I'm leveling on low levels myself before I catch up to my friends.
Would using Noise form Lv20-40, then delvling for Cleric a good idea?
I mean, keep Bard at Lv20 until I am Lv40, then delvling it for Cleric.

Quote: Sub?
lol. Do sub-warrior 1h and all the warrior buffs/taunts. That way if you -end up- being the tank, you're simply not another rogue without desperate/extreme.
Anyways, eventually everyone has to farm SP. This should be an option to consider.
