hi srof community!

im returning to silkroad and i would like some help on which character to play and which server.

I would like a character that can hold its own solo, but can work well in parties. I would prefer European, but Chinese is okay too. I am not to skilled at magicians, just for the fact i don't know which skills to upgrade.

I need a server which isn't always full :P i don't know how to tell.

Warriors can solo very well and are always needed in eu pts. One of the best builds in pvp.
Servers are all crowded. Maybe go to saturn or mars.

you can tell by looking at rev6 on the server stats page, and the number of active players. Babel or pacific have the least.

Pacific FTW xD

OT: Yeah, warrior/cleric is a good solo build, strong PvP build, and doesn't have a problem getting into parties. Also Warlock/cleric solos pretty fast with the Dot n run technique.

yea easily that would be a warrior/cleric. rogue/clerics can be the other option maybe even rogue/bard. but that situational to the server and people.

I'm guessing you never played a warrior before?

they can, if you know how to play one. go to a medium spawn rate area, taunt some monsters while attacking others and keep the cycle going. sure they arent like range characters but they get the job done.

I find soloing much easier using 2h sword, instead crossbow.
I am Warrior/Rogue and have possibility to use both of them, but since mobs drop gold/materials, I perfer 2h sword because I will have to walk toward mobs after I kill it anyway.

So I guess you can't play a warrior very well. And I have a warrior lvl83 so I know how good a warrior is solo.

and how many mobs can you kill?

I compared solo'ing to a wizard's solo'ing. A Wizard with a pet can kill 1 mob / second. Possibly move to the other one in .5 seconds and kill again. Whereas a 2h can kill it in what? 2 Seconds. Move to the other one in 1 if Sprint Assult cd is finished.

If you don't have a pet then yea, it's really not helpful solo'ing with crossbow since you're going to walk anyways.

it sounds like a low spawn rate area, a warrior can tank so i go to a med spawn rate place with aggro mobs, i can kill in 2 hits, so about 1 sec per mob.

nobody was comparing with a wizard. plus, it's about how efficient you solo, not how fast.

The 1mob/second part and .5 second walking made me lol. Thats 40 mobs in a minute, means 40x10k(at lvl 80 or so)xp = 400k xp per minute. 60x400k=24m/h. Looks like 1hour of grinding is a lvl up? Aight, that's impossible.

lol Oo don't wizards die like... really easy!? I mean full int and all if you get mobbed by too many monsters and you can't kill all of them before they get to you = death cause of euro's crap pot delay? Yeah there are many factors that you need to consider like your sub class and equipment and the cost efficiency(potions). Overall its up to him to decide but I'd go warrior just for the fun of smashing things to bits with a huge two-hander >:D. Either way grinding is going to suck so why not go party.
