Hello, recently i've been playing on a Warlock character and i've been wondering, are the DoT attacks from the Dark Mentalist series that useful? I know that two of them inflict Bleed and Dull status, and i'll probably end up taking these two. But what about Blaze and Toxin, the ones that inflict Burn and Poison? Are they useful in any way or should i skip them? Also, are the AoE DoT's (Toxin Invasion, Dark Blaze) useful, or should i level the 1 target ones only?

take them all... you'll run out of dots if you only have 2 single and 2 aoe dots if you use them to grind with
for pvp, you probably wont use more than the bleed/dull singles though since you'll solo most often, or use the aoe ones in group pvp. but getting other dots will help too since you can stack a lot of them

Well first of all, get all of the AOE ones...if you party a lot. They will be very useful to use on big lures ;D
Also i suggest getting the last 2 single target ones: bleed and dull. Max these two
But i also think you should get the blaze/toxin to lvl 5 or so so that you can use them now...at low lvls seeing how the bleed/dull ones are at lvl 20/40?

Coming from a lv 63 Warlock, Decayed and Toxin are your most frequent used curses when you're grinding.
lemme explain to you
These 2 curses are SHIELD SPELLS. They are the fastest casting curses (DoT, in other words) in the whole Dark Mentalist tree. Curse Breath will also be frequently used as it gives DULL. But i only use it for giants or champions, or anthing that i'm scared of, since Curse Breath and Blaze are both ROD SPELLS, meaning they have longer cast time than Shield Spells.
you might have realise that all your DEBUFFS are shield spells. that makes it easier for the warlocks as we usually dont have much time before stun or trap+sleep ends. every second counts.
Dont listen to anyone that tells you that some curses or debuffs are useless. they are ALL USEFUL.
Bleed status is inflicted by DECAYED, minusing small amount of HP along with DECAYED status. It also lowers enemy's PHYSICAL AND MAGICAL DEFENCE. (Most impt curse in ur tree, and a shield spell too!)
Posioned status is inflicted by TOXIN, minusing small amount of HP along with TOXIN status. (Shield spell, but it will be blcoked by holy spell/word)
Dull and Burn are obvious.

Decayed and Curse breath - dull+bleed. all the other dont give any good debuff or help - for 1v1
for mobs i have no idea what better to use.

I've been wondering about this myself since I'm trying to play a warlock so, the general consensus for PvE is Toxin (Poison - damage over time), Decay (Bleeding - reduced magic / physical defense), and Curse Breath (Dull - slows movement / attack speed)?
I've always wondered about this myself for grinding / parties. The only one I've heard not so good things about is Blaze since it apparently has a fairly brief duration in comparison to others.

Blaze is only useful when u're grinding in a party. usually you wont really get to use more than 6 curses (seeing 1 curse can be used on 2 mob). when grinding in a group you wont really notice what buttons you're pushing so just line your curses next to each other and jam keys. but be sure to take note what curses are already on the mob, otherwise you'll be wasting your time. and always have 2 warlock rods with similar stats in your inventory. 1 for training, 1 for backup. cos us warlocks use dura very fast in party grinding. though it'll be hard to get 2 SOS rods in high level, try for a SOS and the 3rd level weapon in your degree and add +3 to it. Good blues to add for rods are dura and block ratio and critical parry. life saver in many situations
