I know INT heavy hybrids can kick ass. Wasn't cuchulain INT heavy when he won that tourny? My question relates to the opposite: would a STR heavy hybrid be lethal as well?

I've noticed people like Nightbloom suggesting pure STR people get all possible INT additions on their gear, claiming it should add a surprising amount of damage.

So rather than ruin my second re-roll, what are everybody elses exeriences or thoughts on a STR hybrid?

Care to elaborate?

How come adding STR to an INT based char is beneficial, while adding INT to a STR based char is bad? Granted the HP benefit from adding STR to an INT is probably huge...but what about the added imbue damage for adding INT to a STR?

Sorry if that's confusing.

Thats it end of story, go for it.... i kick ass.... so can you....
and you get random pms from ppl sayin " how the f*** do you hit so harder than me.

Not sure how hybrid i am but i have like 300 str and 200 int on added stats.

Does it add to your phsyical attack power or magic? One would think to magic, but no one's said it clearly.

Will my normal phys attacks be more powerful from adding INT, or will my attacks only be more powerful during imbues?

Heh heh I'm not at home to test this stuff myself on like a new char. :P

Avoid STR hybrid. Less HP, less physical defence. Maybe 5-10% more magical defence and any damage you get from the int won't replace the damage you would have got from criticals. Int is mainly for using nukes which you won't have.

I am with LTB on this one. I may not have as much health as pure str but I certainly do hit harder than him, and im not even fully farmed. A pure int came up to me when I was using my nukes for fun and said, " How are you doing so much damage?". " Arent you pure str?" I said yes and then killed him XD.

im fully farmed lvl 73
by this lvl if you go around wearing white gear your a dumbass, so this is not a real choice for me.

I could take my gear off and show how "shity" my character is, but you dont war naked do ya?

The truth is, that andy build can rule ass if you know how to use it and if you have the gold.

Dont sound so offended...Your balance naked would show how many stats points you put in for each and how hybrid you are. And since your so "kick ass" and STR hybrid is usually crapped upon, I'm sure Alfred as am I are curious to know how STR hybrid is working so well for you.

Sigh.....

Who to believe...two high lvls arguing. It's like one scientist is saying A and another scientist is saying B. You'd like to believe both of em, but you clearly can't.

Make up your minds please. :) I'd just make a new char and test this myself, but I hardly have enough time to devote to Mugetsu_ as it is. :(

yeah, I'm interesting to hear about different builds that people use

but I guess that was too much to ask...

Im a lvl 54 hybrid str bowman.
I have 5 levels into int.

I hit harder than my lvl 56 pure str friend and also dont die as easy as an int build.

Thought i would stick in my bit.

Sorry if that's confusing.

My personal view is this:
When you add STR to a INT based, you are going for the hp. So a INT based character won't die in just a few hits. The damage increase isn't much of a concern.
However, when you add INT to a STR based character, there is no point at all. The amount of mp added is pointless (a STR based character don't really care about mp, they don't consume a lot). On the damage, it don't increase but decrease. Since when the magic balance increase the physical balance decrease. For a STR based character, your base physical damage is definitely higher your base magic damage. So by adding INT your damage actrally drop.
That's y I think most people feel that adding INT to a STR based is not worth it.
