First off ratios are generally refering to total stats not per level increases.

Str hybrids are bad. But as its your first char its not the end of the world. Keep playing on this char, mess around with it, then start a new char once you know what your doing.
Don't feel dumb it took me 3/4 chars to my build right, i made a character very similar to yours to begin with.
If you wanna make a hybrid build go 2:1 int spear.
I'm sorry to open this can of worms again, but I believe you are just spouting a common misconception regarding STR hybrids. They are not universally bad. They are definately weaker than pure STR in the lower levels (read lvl 40-)however above 40ish STR hybrid is by no means "BAD". In fact, a STR based hybrid will do more damage per hit than a pure STR and will take significantly less damage from nukers/int based. However on the down side a STR based hybrid will also have less HP than pure STR, and your damage when you get a critical will be lower than pure STR characters.
Third:
I would agree that STR based hybrid characters are more difficult to build well than a pure STR and you must carefully watch your balences, defense numbers, and HP as you level and having a good goal in mind is also a benefit. I would look at the sticky "Character Builder" to get an idea of what your character could look like at lvl 50-60-70-80. Then you can decide if you really want to start over. Having added only 48 pts to INT you may end up with very strong balences when you get to lvl 80. One of the strongest characters on Troy is hybrid STR glaive and has, I believe, about 53 pts into INT.
There is more customizability in character creation than some people would have you think. Although, Pure STR, Pure INT, and hybrid INT are the common builds there are more options equally as powerful.
