Hi Folks! :)

Hope we all get SoSUN weapon drops today!!! :D :D :D

Here's my question:

I'm currently playing a Pure STR Fire Glaive Build, Level 28, following a pretty much standard build that includes "Heuksal, Fire, Lightning" but also has a little COLD for defense. I'm finding that I enjoy PvM a little more than PvP so would like to tweak the build to improve PvM. Could you make some recommendations? I do not want to start another character (i.e. Pure INT spearman) or do a massive deleveling, however, some deleveling is fine.

Thanks,

gratz on enjoying PvM more than PvP cuz most ppl hates grinding, n yea cold is a muz if u wanna do well in PvM, if u want alittle more fun, try the Bow, Glaive dual cold build, start wif bow when mob gets near use soul or ghost = fun
u can refer 2 the bow glaive dual build guides in the forum :D

That could work in the short run, but in the long run, if you want to be any good, you should only stick with one Weapon tree...

If you don't mind the long hours of grinding, I'd say switch to a Blade... just my personal opinion. Being a Blader, you can tank alot more, and the Chains look pretty cool as well - you'd really enjoy it.

However, as other people said, go with Cold, to be better in PvM - the freezing and frostbite will do you wonders, although the damage compared to Fire may be lacking...
For Heuksal, get the Chains - although they're not that useful in PvP, and the durability runs out alot faster than using the Soul Spear moves or the Ghost Spear moves... it's a refreshing look. :)

All IMHO, keep in mind.

Does the standard fire light cold glavie build include max lightning?
In my opinion max grass walk and phantom is the most important thing to speed up grinding.
Ice would be second. Ice imbue to save on pots, but it think getting from mob to mob is even more important. You really dont have to worry about the mobs killing you like an int would, so frost nova isnt as usefull to you.

You might even consider lightning imbue the splash might attract mobs.
I have also seen people use the quick magic attack from the lightning tree at low level to draw mobs towards you since you dont get a throw attack untill your 30s.

You should get the skills that do damage to multiple mobs, they may be left out of the standard guides because they may not be much good in pvp.

I think that is what shadowman is saying, get skills to agro mobs and then use skills that do damage to multiple mobs.

Oh on the getting from mob to mob that might also include wearing garms for the speed increase.
