I had my  set on making a bower 5 months ago, and decided to farm for the 100 cap for it. After farming little by little at Ongs with friends for over 5 months, I finally hit my mark of 800k SP. I'm a little confused about the details of the build now. I want Pacheon/Fire 100, and I'm sure I want light to dominate over cold as my 3rd mastery. SP is not a problem, for I have enough to accommodate all 3 of these builds. However, I do not know what combination to take. Here are the choices:

1.Light 100
2.Light 80 / Cold 20
3.Light 72 / Cold 28

I need help with deciding which of these three would be best for me. I enjoy PVP, but I don't want to waste gold on speed drugs. I solo grind more than party play, too. This character is Pure STR, and will have a +5/+7 Bow and will be wearing a +3/+4/+5 Protector Set. Please post your opinions, and any alternate ideas. Pro's/Con's of each build would be appreciated.

Tbh since you dont want cold over light at all. Got 100 light. 20 and 28 ice is pretty useless...maybe the snowshield but i dont think itll help much?

The build for you is 100pacheon/100fire/80lightning/20cold, I'm almost sure of it. Among the options you gave, this one is the best.

Snowshield helps a LOT (!).

EDIT: And 20% snow shield is more than enough for a pure STR.

I was leaning a little towards the 80 light / 20 cold, too. I just researched that from light 80 --> 100, the only thing that improves for me is a few % more magical damage, a few more % of speed, and a few points of parry ratio.

I think i would be willing to give these up for a 20% snow shield, for that really helps pure STR. This seems like a good build in theory, but lets see if it works out. Im still open for more suggestions and opinions, please do not hesitate to post. :D

I'd say go all on light, since more parry, speed, mag. damage + > lvl 1 Snowsheild.

The 80light/20ice and the 72light/28 ice builds are pretty much the same. The only downside to 72 light is that you don't get the level 80 light's passives.

I love speed/light so I'd go with the 80light/20ice build. But as raphaell666 said:

Go with 100pacheon/100fire/80light/20ice. You won't regret it :)

Level 1 snow shield helps a TON. It's way better then 100 light + it costs less sp.

There is very little difference between 80 light and 100 light. There is also very little difference between 80 Light and 72 Light. My choice is 72 light so i can get a few extra % of snow shield, it's not too mp draining and it helps alot.

its like throwing on a tambour with out the need for a bard, even a low level one works awesome because its percentage based.

Even less sp is 60 cold 40 light. But i like the 72 light and 28 ice option too. All mixed light and cold mastery sub builds end up working out to be just about the same. Only take the first book of snow shield, anymore than 25% and you'll be lossing too much mp.

I fail to truly understand the point of 28 cold over 20 cold. If you want to save SP, then all you have to do is leave lightning at 72 or whatever, though I'd prefer it at 80. The difference from 20 cold to 28 cold is, well, exactly none, while you'd get some extra speed and mobility from going with 80 lightning. Conclusion: No point at all in leveling cold until 28 only, better keep it at 20. If you want to save some SP, nothing is preventing you from leveling lightning only until whatever level you feel like.

20 cold = 20% snow shield; 28 cold = 23% snow shield.

I'm almost sure it does work out, not only in theory. Don't worry.

Screw Light, I would take ice over light any day. You should go 100 pach/100 fire/68 ice/32 light

80 light for speed/parry
