Ive got a lv 2x Pure str, im building a 9 gap to farm at 24.

Ive got Fire, Light, and glaive & bow at lv 15.

But i have to make a choice, bow or glaive?

My only fear is doing low dmg, not enough to be satisfied

BTW, this is my first archer, but i suppose things get easier with berzerk arrow and strongbow, and possibly a nice bow right?

Depends: Glavie=more dmg. Bow= Range

BTW, the crit increases on bow skills will give u high dmg, and will do best if u a bow with crit 10+

go both. you will have much more fun

it's no use if you choose bow and you won't enjoy it.

glavie is very good in PVP

if you say grinding go bow but if you want a strong char wil wil will no one will compare to glaive...

I would say bow they lvl up faster and after update they will be much better.

gee....Glavie owns all in PVP i am lvl 4x and kicked a lvl 47+ bower ass....GLAVIE = insane CRITS the damage of the crit is insane...so why bow is better cause he use GHOST walk Phantom ? if the glavier use the same runaway and hit like bower except the glavier follow the bower = DEATH to any bower !! PROVED

glaive is weak as balls.

any bowman can walk around and the glaiver wont be able to kill them.
literally ive seen lvl 72 bowman walk for ten minutes while a person with a 64+7 sun glaive was wacking at them.

if i phantom away you will be spamming your keys with soul spear or ghost spear and you WILL RUN AFTER ME. the game wont let you use phantom, you are STUCK running after me. by the time you try to phantonm to me you get stronbow and devil arrow in the face.

youre probably owning those pussy ass shit bows that have no idea how to play their build, i swear to god have never lost to another strength build.
i even beat someone with a 52+5 SUN GLAIVE and i used a normal +3 crit 10 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL. just to show him how pussy ass his build was. fuckng glaive noobs think that by swinging that shit around you can always win.

Well, anyway, i want a fun overall build. People tell me bow is more fun than glavie, but i dont know if the damage is enough to be fun

well Glavier doesnt kill all, and it isnt the best build in pvp, hell noooo!!
Its just that it is the easist build to eb good with, but that doesnt make it the best at all, its just that most ppl that play other chars dont know how to play their builds right or their alchemy/items suk rlly bad, seriously ive seen lvl 72+ that are completly noobs, with like npc gear

)) guys just try Olympus if u wanna see the Glavie Mastery ....in my server Glavie owns all....if u wanna kick a pure STR ass u need Armor if u need to kick a Full INT u need Garment what's that simple ?? i have 2 sets and i can own every1 of my lvl in PvP (either sets are SoX:P) my glavie is 42+5 SOS so i can't find any contender in PvP i kicked a lvl 52+ nuker ass easily and some bower lvl 48+ easily )) so don't tell me whose build is better[/img]

A person with pimped gear is most likely gonna beat people with shit gear.

All I have to say is; Gear. Youre supposed to rawk with an SoX set. Find a bower with a sosun bow + sosun set, you wont even come close to killing him. Feck even an sosunblader can kill you.

I have good gear, I can kill a glavier my level or a level above me with bad gear.

lv 80 bow cant kill lv 73 glaive whats the best of that...

i will not say here the boring fighting style of bow...

The choice is yours to be brutally honest. Yes some people may sway you in a specific direction but here is my suggestion. Create a bow character and a glaive character. Level them both to 10 or 15 or a set level of your choice and see which you enjoy the most. Whichever you enjoy most is the one you should take. You may follow someone's advice just to realise you think totally different and you should have taken the other route. Basically to sum up, try both base your decision on which you enjoy more.

I jsut recently got a bower to lvl 35 and they don't do much damage with each hit, but they can attack pretty fast and do crit.

no matter which way you choose, how well you do in pvp or pve depends also on your equipment.

if you choose the bow, consider the advantages of phantom-walk and the range of your bow.

you obviously haven't seen me in pvp

Haha i know this will sound really random...

Imagine lv 1 pure STR

Spear does nearly as much damage as a Glavie;
Bow does nearly as much damage as a Spear;
Blade does nearly as much damage as Bow;
Sword does nearly as much damage as Blade;

The advantages are :
Glavie:Medium high damage( 13-17)
Spear : Medium (11-14)
Bow: Medium low (9-10) , range
Blade: Low (7-8 ), sheild (block)
Sword: Very Low (5-6), sheild (block)

Basicly the bonuses stay the same as u level althought occasionally u find better weapons then that order because you have NPC weapon and u find a +1 or somthing. Basing it off that what kind of damage do you want and what kind of effects do you want, you have to choose. You cant have massive damage and range.

Range is a different kind of damage in itself, As said above its good for phantom walk (theives use it alot) Range are also good party members, why have 2 tanks when u can have a sniper surveying the battle feild and a tank.

Sheilds are unique aswell, A level 80 might hit a lvl 1 which would hit 14,000.. the sheild just blocks it, although the lvl 80 would probably cast another spell but hey . Take things into consideration and dont overthink. Be simple. For me Glavie is cool because i love samurai. but i play a blade because i love defence in MMORPG and i find the damage to be a worthy tradeoff.

Think about which spells own with the bonuses eg; Phantom-walk with bow, good for a smart and fast paced pvper. Fire for a glavie and Blade for magic resistance and physical damage increase.

I could say personal preferance but then your thinking, BUT which one is best?!?!. Dont go off otehr people opinions, everyone has one and they wanna say there say on what they're favourite is. Think about your favorite bonuses to a weapon. Then you will have the best character in this game for you.

i'm a level 56 Archer(Hybrid)with my mastery skills at level 51
i only my bow is sos+5,Bad ass crytical (7),and my gear suck ass
and i had fight this fully farm level 54 glavie and all the loser does is stunt
and knowback but he still can't beat me and hes a glavie but
he keep telling me not to run like a little bitch and is because
hes using a sos Spear and not a Sos glavie witch i think the damage incrse
from Spear to glavie is not much.i got to say he can kill me i'f he stunt me
everytime and do like 3 crytical on me.

Glavies does got a lot of HP why can't some Archers/Bowmans beat then?
Stunt thas all i can say.just wait when the update come and archer get stunt
and knowback you going to be people hating us but what can we say?
we been call weak for years is time we get a Upgrade and get some Respect.

sadly 5 hit combo is single targetting ..

id say go bow beeing a bow character myslef
but the only thing i do not like about it is it dose not do enough damage on its own u need to us skills witch burn mp so it tends to get on my nerves having to buy mp pots all the time
