 Post subject: guide request for light/ice pure int s/s build

i haven't noticed alot of guides on this kind of build but i heard instead people telling me to think about this build rather then fire/light s/s nuker so i would like to hear your opinions on why the light/ice nuker is more efficient then fire/light.. what kind of protector should be used etc, basicly all you know about this build.. and most important ..explain to me why mana shield suddenly became so important? thanks for your time ;)

mana shield is all of a sudden so important because its new and we've never had it before, we get it on monday after the update.

maxed out mana shield diverts 50% of the damage you take to be subtracted from your MP and not your HP, and since you are pure int you have a shitload of MP to keep you alive for a decent amount of time.

add that to your blocks from the shield and the straight out light nukes and ice nukes you will be shooting and you will be a killing machine.

fire is taken out because the only reason int;s have fire right now is to cast the stronger fire nuke, but with mana shield, frost guard, defense passive, and a possible ice imbue to freeze euro chars, ice seems like a better alternative to fire.

light would be your imbue, and the new light nuke is really strong and rivals the fire nukes.

watch some pure int s/s with mana shield in that vid, its an int tank with insane nukes.

well for a pure int.. with ice and light.. means k/d and stabs won't do as much dmg as a light/fire nuker, wich means that he has to rely mainly on nukes.. but do light/ice skill tree provide strong enough nukes? i'm thinking that a full int with s/s would loose its high damage dealer role and become some kind of tank ... and lets face it .. how much can a full int tank? definetly not as much as a str.. and how much damage can an int tank deal? definetly not as much as an offensive fire/light nuker.. si its kinda of a middle way ...

Damage Dealer---- Our Build-----Tank
Fire/light nuker----- light/ice------Str build

so i wanna know is it worth choosing the middle way?
and besides.. the fire skill tree will get fire combustion.. the capability to detect hidden enemyes.. like rogues and stuff and will get the 4'th nuke.. so is it really worth droping fire ..for ice?

later edit* i've looked at the european skills for a bit and discovered that they got alot of attacks that put an anormal status on the enemy .. and if that is similar to the light/ice/fire abnormal status then.. the fire shield series would prove to be very useful ... the better u come out of the.. dull/bleed/poison/slow status the better :roll:
