Anyway, I can't give you a full description of the skill system. Basically, you kill monsters to get experience and skill experience. 400 skill experience gives you one skill point. You can then use skill points to raise masteries and skills. You need a certain mastery level to get certain skills. There's a limit to how high you can raise your total masteries, but you can raise any masteries you want. (Multiclassing) Your mastery level for any class cannot go higher than your base level, and you get more skill points if there's a bigger difference between your base level and your highest mastery level (not total).
Base Level 10 with a Level 1 Mastery gives more skill experience (but less base experience) than Base Level 10 with Level 10 Mastery.
