I'm a level 18 pure INT Wizard and I haven't chosen a subclass yet. Warrior and Rogue are probably pointless, so it's between the other three. I know cleric is a good choice, but it's kind of "safe". I'm one of those people who hates hybrids in principle because it seems like a stupid compromise; if I want more HP in exchange for lower damage, I'll make a tanker. So choosing cleric might make me feel like I'm missing out on bigger damage or faster leveling. But I don't really know because I haven't tried any of them yet. So how do Cleric, Bard, and Warlock compare as wizard subclasses? What skills would I be getting in each?

the cleric subclass would give you a little more survivability with defense skills and HP regen. skills that stay on even after you equip your wizard staff.
It also has Strength and Intel buffs that you can cast on people, but those disappear once you unequip your cleric rod. It currently has the strongest skill in the game called Pure Offering which is a ridiculously strong Nuke that 1-hits basically anyone at the cost of 95% of your own health.
bard would give you a huge increase in moving speed for faster grinding, and has a noise skill line which de-aggros monsters so you can basically run around without getting hit by anything within a certain level range. It doesnt work on champions or giants though, so youd still have to keep a look out for those.
warlock has really nice debuffs that you can cast on people which reduce their physical defense, magical defense, physical attack, and magical attack.
They can also put people to sleep for 20 seconds with a skill called Slumber. There are also other skills that cast decay on people, as well as bleed, impotent, dull [makes the enemy move slow] , etc. A really killer combo would be to put someone to sleep, switch to wizard staff, cast life control, then wizard nuke someone to death. A bunch of their skills though only have 80% probability of them working, so its kinda iffy but 80% is still a good percentage. Oh yea they have a skill that instantly stun's people so they cant move or attack at all, but again thats also 80% probability.
over all i would probably go cleric or warlock, leaning more towards cleric.
and yea stay pure int.

since Wizard is a pure offense class i would go with a defensive one for the sub, like Bard or Cleric, Cleric being my choice. Warlock is offensive mostly, so you wouldnt have much chance in PVP, you would only have stun sleep and such debuff which dont have 100% probability to success. While Cleric Bless and Healing skills do.
