Im lvl 69 an Int hybrid S/S wondering if there was any way in hell that i could hold my own in pvp with Euro chars? i can usualy own a good 95% of the chinese charecters +-2 levels of me unless they have sun shit, but a euro with a +5 weapon and +3 gear that is my lvl will conistantly own me... Any tips?

I can hold my own in pvp against euros, the best thing to do is just try and be as observant as possible while you are pvping, watch everybody, keep an eye on the rouges and wiz out and inside of safezone. Watch when they go into stealth and then put up snow shield, then keep moving so its harder for them to target you. Also dont always go for nukes first. Try differnt things such as Kds and also the distance swrod attacks and lion shouts, as these in combo can kill wiz and rouges when they have their damage increase skills on.

I mean that is my general Stratagy. I usualy Go for the KD or a Quick Chain when im fighting a wizard or a rouge, but the Warlocks and the clerics (especialy the warlocks with the cleric subclass) are what realy give me trouble, i dunno what to do. maybe the 73 chain will help but idk

Hybrid Int S/S.

your best bets are (ill list):

High blocking ratio shield, that one block could be the difference between you getting 1 hitted, or you 1 hitting them.

When fighting wizards, be fast as possible, do skills that don't take lots of time, Keep using your knockdown stab combos, as these will prevent the wizard from casting.

When fighting warriors... Cry. No, a warrior 1 will be hard to kill. Do things like knockdown, run away a bit, then cast a nuke before they get to you. A warrior 2h, they same technique, but keep away, a well played warrior 2h can easily kill china chars 10 levels higher than it.

Warlocks, similar to wizards again, use the same technique, but imo theyre harder than wizards, as even if you run to keep away, they'll keep giving you damage with their status's.

Rogues will probably be in stealth, if so, you can't do much because they blitz everything. If they're not in stealth, fight them at their own game, use speed to get them first, then use cold skills on them to freeze/slow them, which will give you time to nuke them before they crit/prick you.


Last of all, id recomend sos S/S. it helps alot with damage + defence.

::edit:: read your having problems with warlock clerics.
These are hard, because they have recovery division and whatnot, which keeps their hp high. But, to your advantage, warlocks do very little direct damage, their status's are their main damage dealer. So, when fighting one, don't be scared of his mini-nukes. just run at him, give a couple knockdown, stab, combo's etc, then do your most damaging nukes. And as with rogue's, cold helps, as it slows their casting time (warlocks still cast incredibly fast)

Warlocks are one of the best pvp classes there are, there isnt realy a good strat for them. They can take down most people because when you get sleep there isnt much you can do about it. And with all those debuffs on you it doesnt matter how good your gears are you are still a sitting duck

I don't know much about euro class/skill but I remember fighting two rouges, each my lvl at the time, which was 73 (not at the same time of course) but yea, I always frostbite them and then attack and killed them before they pull of another hit ir two (cuz their dmg is too insane) =). Even though i'm a spear wielder, i guess the frostbite skill is my 2 cents.

What is making euros fearful is their buffs. Here are some facts and hints. *coughs coughs*

1. Bless Spell lasts 45 seconds (correct me if Im wrong)
2. Iron Skin and Mana Skin lasts for 45 seconds / 60 seconds (I forgot exactly -.-)
3. Same goes for morale screen.

Im not going to write about exceptional cases about smart euros, just in case this info aids euro instead of trying to help Chinese XD

Here goes, make the best use of your firewall and ice wall even if its just lvl 1. It usually is sufficient to make enough time for you to kill them. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIGHT BACK WHEN THEY HAVE BLESS OR IRON / MANA SKIN. Simply try surviving that 45 seconds first and you kill them once their buff is over.

SnowShield lasts for 2 mins before it cooldowns for 1 min. (that is if you ever fight a match that lasts more than 3 mins, I have fought a couple though).

In consideration you're a hybrid s/s, there are some things you should consider in helping you survive euros. Try to get high BR like 18 or higher, and if possible, get a cleric to give you holyspell against warlocks. While some people may say if you have a cleric, then you prolly get all the buffs and keep yourself from dying against them - true but some peeps may prefer 1 v 1 fights at times, ignore their criticism and insist you get the holyword / holyspell if you're against a warlock.

A technique you can attempt once their buff is down: Phantom away, build wall (with respect to the nature of their attacks), and proceed with your attack. Lvl 1 wall can negate their attack totally before it exposes you to the next attack, that gives you an upperhand. If they're not immuned against cold, you can attempt frost nova skill, but I have seen many lvl 80 euros immuned against cold.. so idk if its a good idea to begin with. If your bich skills do more damage than your nukes, then a chain + kd n stab should be sufficient to kill them usually / you really have to improve your critical. If your nukes do more damage, keep nuking, attempt tanking a few hits coz they usually wont be able to tank more than 3 of your nukes WITHOUT BUFFS.

Hmm thats the best advice I can give for hybrid s/s. My build is pure str so I have a slight different way of playing.

A good warrior would just use sprint assault while you're phantoming away ^^ sadly, not a lot of euros know really how to use their chars yet (blasted pLvl!!!)

Sitting there throwing nukes all the time will just get you a place face down in the dirt against chinese or euro (or at best you getting Kb'd, Kd's, or status'd). Best way is to start with a nuke (phantom away if you need distance) then Kd/Stab or chain then Kd/Stab (that goes for when you're against most Str builds). Don't just sit there nuking, you're just a sitting duck that way against euros. If you're a nuker and paired up against a warlock, all I can say is gL XD. You can't really take the distance advantage of your nukes if the warlock knows how to use fog sight (reduces range of distance attacks on players).

You can try doing all of what the above people said, but most of the time it won't matter as euros will one-hit you when you least expect it (stealth, invis).

So my best bet is to wait for a patch. Until then, your character (and mine, i have the same build as you) is useless.

Im not afraid of invisibility or stealth anymore so long I am at dw south pvping.

Walls are there for a reason. My char is a str char and between 2 builds that can go invisible and stealth, only the wiz is able to 2 shot me - while a rouge takes much longer.

I usually set just lvl 1 firewall, even when Im watching other peep's fights so I dont get ambushed. Once my firewall is down, wiz is dead within 2 moves from me.

Another solution to their skills is erm... some special tricks which I dont think I should mention over here, those that knew thejapanese from Xian, you can try pming him when he's on, or challenge him playing hide and seek with stealth lolz...
(The trick Im talking about aint combustion or pills, its something better and higher lvl) Gdluck Chinese Chars, dont be afraid, erm only be afraid when my euro char comes up =P Lolz...

thanks for all the advice guys but with the exception of pk2 edits ive alreay tried all that shit. I have a sos s/s and a few sos armor peices and i still get owned. its so fuucking frustrating all the work i put into my char, grinding, buying and reselling so i could get good gear and then some noob plvled euro comes and there esentaily isnt shiit i can do about it except wait for a patch, and my god i hope joymax has a patch somwhere in its bag of ticks, or i might as well just give up on this guy and start a euro =/
