I picked chinese over euro for a few reasons, I see what your saying but these reasons are very big.
1. Hard to find parties.
2. Very low survivability cuz of pot delay. Cleric sub is all the health stuff etc. but when they run out, unless you are a warrior with skins and stuff, your 1 shotted. 2 of the funnest euro classes are wusses, invis, 1 hit kill safe zone In case you didn't realize, that takes much less skill than the pot delay, hit and run.
3. You get 1 attack that you actually use in combat every 10 or so levels. In chinese you get one every couple.
That is my two cents, I think chinese take much more skill than euros, except for Warlock and in Warrior/Not Cleric.
1. It isn't hard to find parties.
2. This really depends on your class combination. If you sub Cleric, your survival rate will go way up. If you sub Bard, you won't get jumped by aggressive general monsters and you won't run out of MP. If you sub Warlock, you can absorb HP.
2.5. European characters aren't "wusses". Wizards and Rogues don't have to use those tactics. It's the player that determines how "wussy" a character is.
3. That's not true. Wizards get MANY spells to choose from and most of them stay useful until you get their high level counterparts. The same applies to Warlocks. Rogues and Warriors don't get as many attack skills, but they get many passive skills. Clerics and Bards don't get many attack skills, but they get many support spells. Also, Clerics get the strongest spell in the game AND absolute damage moves. Bards get fast nukes with short cooldown timers.
I also disagree on the point that Chinese require more skill to use than European characters. First off, this is primarily dependent on your build. Cleric/Bard requires A LOT of weapon switching and quick reflexes. One mistake and your entire party could be wiped out. Wizard/Warlock requires you to use skills in a certain order so that you can maximize your damage output while taking as little damage as possible. If you sub in a class just to get a handful of buffs, that has nothing to do with "European character requiring less skill". This is you picking an "easy build" or failing to maximize your character's potential.
Also, European characters are geared towards party play. You may be a paper-thin Wizard in solo play, but you become a beast when you have a tank taking all the hits, a bard constantly replenishing your HP, and a cleric healing you.
I don't have anything against Chinese characters. I just don't think your complaints are valid.
P.S. You mentioned something about "Clerics running out". What do they run out of? MP? That's what potions are for. If you are a Cleric/Bard, MP isn't even an issue. If you aren't a Bard, you should have a Bard in your party.
