Well actually.. warlock isnt a leveling type of build.. if you're a warlock/cleric then you are mostly a support kind of euro character.. and must go w/ parties most of the time.. but w/ wizard/cleric.. you go solo w/ no problem at all.. better fix it now.. before its too late.. :D

I disagree, I think both Wizards and Warlocks can solo well. Wizards can solo easily as long as you don't get mobbed, while Warlocks also kill efficiently with DoTs and Berserk. Wizards are more likely to be accepted to parties for the raw damage they provide, meaning Warlocks are of a lower priority than Wizards in Euro parties, but it only takes one Warlock to make a huge difference in overall damage. Warlocks also do well in mixed parties, since Chinese builds can take advantage of the debuffs as well while Wizards will find little protection and will die more compared to Warlocks.

I think warlock/cleric owns u get zerk very fast and usually Decay+blood flower is always a kill. Plus wiz dies to much and their damage isnt that much higher. Finally, warlock/cleric owns in pvp.

They don't 'suck' at all. In fact, I'd say they have one of the strongest 1 vs 1 potential of almost any build because of all the manipulation they can exert on the opponent. What other build can stun/sleep with the press of a button and use almost every debuff in the game? At the end of a pvp, an opponent's status bar should have at least two rows chalk full of debuffs, so they deal around half damage (Impotent), take almost double damage (Division + bleed + weaken), use potions slower (panic), and never wake up from sleep until an Absolute Damage bomb explodes and takes out a big chunk of HP (Bloody Trap + sleep). The main flaw with Warlock/Cleric is a low HP pool, which can be countered by going Hybrid like Berto or being a STR Warrior/Rogue with Warlock sub. STR and HP gear will help anyone.

Yes, I know I sound a like a Warlock fanboy since I wrote another short essay, but if you can manage to kill a zerking nuker 10 levels higher than you with full blued, +5 gear who even attacked first (which happened just yesterday to me while jobbing), you realize there is something gone horribly wrong with Warlocks if they can kill someone who isn't even in their level range without even being hit once. And no I didn't use offering.

What I mean to say here is that No, Warlocks definitely do not suck: they do great against most builds 1 vs 1, and have a very good chance of winning a pvp provided the opponent does not have outside help or Holy Spell. Like other pure INT builds, they can always be killed quickly, but with your ninja fingers on Stun and Sleep, you can react to the attacker and stop them in their tracks.

Don't listen to 'some peoples' opinions and believe whatever they say. I could say the same thing about Wizards without any actual basis in fact, but I know that Wizards are great builds as well. Don't change builds if you don't want to. People are suited to their own builds. Maybe the people you heard from only had experience with low level warlocks (IMO warlocks do not fare very well in PVP until after 44).

/end Warlock fanboy rant

Warlocks are also very ownage in group pvp because almost all their skill hav an AoE counterpart and buffs that effect the whole party.
