How significant is 69 attack rating increase. This is all the lv60 tambour gives, and my attack rating is 401. How much more DPS would 69 attack rating make, or is it even noticable?

It doesn't increase your DPS. It increases your average damage.

Say your a wizard. Your lowest damage on the mobs your on is 8500...your highest damage is 9500.

The higher your attack rating, the closer you are to that 9500 max damage. Using hit march helps the wizards do more damage overall.

The higher lvl you get, the more important it gets.

At low lvl, it doesn't matter much cuz top n bottom damage of weapon is low.
At high lvl, a wiz can nuke 14k or 18k damage on the same weapon wit the same nuke.
3k difference.

Ur attack rating determines how often u hit the high range.

While trying to add master to my 2H, it assimilated the attack rating to 100% Then i added the blue and got 30% increase.

double tambour is needed in rok mt tho, all mobs are a combo of things. Lvl it till you get to chaser pts and then stop.

Is hit march/cloud march a dance? I would think compared to the wizardy(magic dmg% increase) and valor(phyiscal dmg% increase)dances hit march isnt even as good? :? I know in order to do a dance you need two bards, is hit march only require one bard? *slightly confused* lol

nope...not a dance. IIRC the 2nd bard can use it.

Say the dancing gives 20% magical dmg increase. So, say the same wizard hits 8500-9500...now he will hit from 10,200-11,400. So yeah, in my mind hit march is more useful on melee, although it is also useful as described.

I think you can have a tambour and a march, but not a dance and a march.

edit: SRO's site says no to a Hit March and a tambour, but a moving march and a tambour works

Sorry, I'm still learning my bard skills, I've only recently put them up to 60.

I looked at the website also, we need a good bard like Uehara to explain. lol the tamboors/marches/dances make my head swirl, and being a bard noob doesnt help much either. Is moving march part of the march series? cuz moving march, a tamboor and a dance works, or is it for hit march you need a third bard? :oops:

Hmmm...last time I barded on Thursday, we had two bards and managed:

Hit march
Moving march (these are doable by one bard)

Dancing of magic
Guard Tambour (these were done by the other bard)

Not completely sure. I think Hit March doesn't like the tambour though. Yeah, Uehara would be a good reference or pshulhof (isn't he a cleric/bard?)

Well in Uehara's Bard guide section 4. The Tips and Tricks section states:

Suggesting that a tambour and hit march are both base dance starters meaning the same bard cant cast tambour and hit march at the same time, but with two bards its possable to have a tambour, dance and hit march going at the same time.

hit/clout march is just like a tambour you can play them solo, but unlike tambours if the first bard is playing hit/clout march the 2nd bard can't do a dance

1. Dance will give your party a great buff no other build can give. The max number of dances your party can do is 4 with 5 bards. For example at lvl 80, you can give your party 34% Physical / Magical Damage increase, 34% increase in cleric healing and 34% decrease in mana consumption. Add Dancing of Wizardry with wizards with Life Turnover, it will turn out deadly. For example, a 20K nukes will be 26.8K nukes. Enough to kill most people in 1 shot. Your party will have better chance to get uniques kill with this dance. Use Dancing of Healing when you need more heals from cleric. Useful in uniques hunting and group pvp. And Dancing of Mana if the party already have the other dances and if you just want to afk for a seconds/while. This will help the INT not to cry for MP when you are away.

That's it. Your party will enjoy the great dance. Tambours and dances will depend on your party. Usually the highest skill lvl bard will do the important tambour / dance. When fighting a physical mobs, make sure you get the highest skill lvl bard to do the Guard Tambour. Same with when fighting a magical mobs, make sure your party have the highest lvl of Mana Tambour.

3. Max 4 dances. How cool is that to make a full dance party when you celebrating a victory or anything? How to make it? It is easy as a,b,c,d,e. This example will show the easiest way to do it.

(a). Bard-1 = Guard Tambour
(b). Bard-2 = Dancing of Fight + Mana Tambour
(c). Bard-3 = Dancing of Wizardry + Hit March
(d). Bard-4 = Dancing of Healing
(e). Bard-5 = Dancing of Mana


There you go, a max dancing party. One thing I found out is you dont need all the tambours up to make more than 1 dances. 1 tambour is you only need to do all 4 dances. To make the fastest max dances in a party, just do it like this.

(a). Bard-1 = Any Tambour or Hit March
(b). Bard-2 = Dancing of Fight
(c). Bard-3 = Dancing of Wizardry
(d). Bard-4 = Dancing of Healing
(e). Bard-5 = Dancing of Mana

Hit march and clout march is just like guard and mana tambour. Same way to use it, NOT POSSIBLE to use multiple tambours / hit march at the same time by the same person.

No moving march is not a tambour. Moving march can be done by any bard.
Gaurd/mana tambour and hit march work the same way. They just have different effects. Only one per bard.

As gaurdia said, one bard does hit march OR gaurd tambour or mana tambour.
Second bard does dancing of magic/wizardry.
Second bard then does either gaurd tambour, mana tambour, or hit march. Depends what the first bard does, and what mobs you are on.

You may not notice it, because it doesn't show that its noticable...like it doesn't actually increase your max damage, it just makes it where you hit your max damage more often. You do notice a huge difference though between your max dmg and your lowest damage though. It's helpful, its just not something thats extremely obvious.

Kind of like reinforce, nobody really notices it, but it makes a world of difference.

DPS is average damage... and your example proves that it's DPS.

A little off-topic, but bards just get more MP. Only when you have the harp equipped though.
