there is no lag to speak of, not even a second of lag, i would dare say "flawless" but then again it is VERY empty maybe no more then 150 people online. But even still i think this server will be much better off.

Well I have the old client and it says the server is on check. Do I need the new client to play? Because my internet is capped until the end of the month so I won't be able to download it. :/

No, you just need the media.pk2 and replace it with the old one.
