Hello again, i'm hoping for some more high quality help like I have been getting from you guys before!

I don't know if a thread already exists detailing all the job types and how to get into each and what you are expected to do. But, if there is one I apologise and a link would be appreciated!

I powered my way through 5 levels yesterday in one massive grind session to get to Level 19. I'm now on my way to Level 20 and a new job! What is the best job type to start out as and how do you select who you are going to be? Just so you know my highest level weapon is a bow and my special abilities are all based around fire.

Well, usually the first job to take on is that of a Trader.

If you're a hunter or a thief at your low level, you will most likely be 1 hit by higher lvls just for the hell of it.

so doing traderuns with one star worth of cargo is probably recommended.

However!
you might actually want to wait a bit longer than level 20, on the way to Donwhang from the ferry, you will meet monsters ranging from level 19-28 (level 30 monsters if you travel through Ravine, not recommended without a hunter, unless you can easily handle monsters in there).

I know its kind of lame not doing a job when you can, but I remember doing a trade run first thing I did when i hit level 20, i got killed when i reached a pack of earth ghosts..

If you really want a job @ lvl20, I suggest being a trader.

Being a thief @ lvl20 would be very difficult because of high level hunters that accompany >1* trade runs.

Being a hunter would also be very difficult. The thieves you would meet will probably 1 hit you.

It's alot safer to be a trader and do 1* runs just to get some extra income. And to have a break from grinding.

Always great help. Thanks again! I may look at doing some low level trade runs then... or teaming up with a few friends. Ideally I want to become a hunter... or a thief Anything really. I'll just grind a little longer to actually get LV 20 and see where the Silk Road takes me!

I personally think that you shouldnt start a job at 20. Hunters and Thieves just die a lot by higher level thieves, unless your one of the leet people on this forum who are 2x and happen to find 5* lying on the ground. You can be a trader, but even 1* can be dangerous because of.. unforseen complications. You should not start trading till Lv 26-27 when you can handle all of the mobs on the way to Donswhang comfortable. That is just my opinion though, if you really need the money you can do some trade runs.
