Welcome to my first tutorial!
For some of you who have the Sony PSP(FAT/SLIM), some of you may have a hacked firmware, you will need a 3.XX OE-A,B,or C or M33.
To be able to legally have a rom, you must own and bought the game cd, like I have Digimon World 3 for PS1 and I made it into a ISO. Download your favorite ISO PSX Game that you already own and get PSX2PSP (Google it, it shouldn't be hard to find) and the you will need Hot Shot Golf 2 (A Legal Copy please that you will buy or already have) You will need to change the eboot.pbp to base.pbp, and keys.bin is already there, then you will put in the FILES folder, after that run the PSX2PSP (prefered classic mode since it's faster) find the iso, you can also get your own pics for it! Convert it, put it into your PSP/GAME folder with the Folder Something like SLUS1345 (it can be different but in the same look)

And that should be it!

Sony may be "against" custom firmware, but it's not illegal, you're warranty just runs out when you install it, Sony thinks that is an equal trade 'cause you can brick your PSP if you screw up the firmware install. *can be fixed with Pandora Battery*

Sony doesn't care about PSX emulation 'cause they get ALOT more money from the PS2, PSP, PS3, Camcorders, TVs in one quarter of the year than they lose to PSX/PS2 emulators. They are a billion dollar company, they don't need to care about some people adding a PSX emulator so we can re-live the days of Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo.

Sony's revenue as of 2006 was 63 billion...

yah I had 3.03 OE-C not too long ago, it was semi bricked, then went to 1.50 then 3.52 then 3.90 both m33, very nice, and I have DMW3 Eboot (I bougght the CD) on there, also cool though, if you don't actually own the you can use the rom legally for 24 hours, then you must delete it or buy the game

Well ... most people (I do , sorry :P  ) download ISO-s and CSO-s ... so one guy buys UMD , and converts it to ISO ... and the whole world has it ... xD
So its not only about "playing PSX games" ... CFW is there for alot of reasons... CSO/ISO-s , and some cool homebrews ...
