first of all, check "begin" in the bottom right, not cursor.
For find put : item\china\weapon\bow_03.bsr
For replace: item\china\weapon\bow_09.bsr
Hit replace all, if it says occurences are changed, your doing something right, now go back and change ".bsr" to ".ddj"
like so
Find: item\china\weapon\bow_03.ddj
Replace: item\china\weapon\bow_09.ddj
Then hit replace all again, if the occurences change, your done, go to "File" and then "Save"
Note; you must be out of game to save.
tell me how this works out for you.

Start out by copying data\prim\mesh\item\china\etc\drop_ch_money_small.bms into your hex editor. Now copy the coordinates for the first vertice over the remaining four so you end up with a blank model.

Now you need to find

data\res\item\china\man_item\clothes_00_la.bsr
data\res\item\china\man_item\light_00_ba.bsr
data\res\item\china\man_item\light_00_la.bsr
data\res\item\china\woman_item\clothes_00_ba.bsr
data\res\item\china\woman_item\clothes_00_la.bsr
data\res\item\china\woman_item\light_00_ba.bsr
data\res\item\china\woman_item\light_00_la.bsr
and figure out which flags need to be set to render the parts of the body that aren't rendered.
In short, wait for me to make a guide on it.

how do u spell glaive in the pk2 files? cant seem to find how to spell it

I put "shield_08' in 1st box and second box "shield_09" and clicked replace all. Same for heavy, light, clothes, tblade, blade, spear, sword, and bow.

They got no way atm. to check the files.
Every sro install of my got different media.pk2 files, depends how many patch ago were installed.
Max ppl get is client sided crash or error.
They even fake the gameguard logo

Wow! That's quite an interesting topic, there was no such for long time.
Anyway, if u guys edit ur pk2 files be sure to make a backup, so u would not need to reinstall in case of error. And keep in mind that there are two different versions of silkroad installation: first it was v1.01, but now only v1.02 is available to download from sro.net. So as far as i was into modding those pk2s some time ago, i noticed that v1.01 has something different from v1.02, at least while replacing textures. Anyway v1.01 installation worked for me after modifications, while v1.02 did not. I'm not sure if those versions had any influence changing texture labels, but in case u get an error, consider trying v1.01.
Oh and don't worry, crc checksum error won't get u banned, cuz there's no way GMs could check what textures ur using
MAKE A BACKUP!

Yep that would be funny:
Getting banned because a virus infected sro, file damaged because hdd crash, ..
No sro team (joymax) scared if these patch gets released in an easy install.
No need to buy item mall hat, can replace any in to it.
No need to buy white wolf, all wolf ingame look the same white.
Change character look no matter the level.
....
And if we dig deep enough we can see all the game client secrets.
ps.:
I'm working/looking in to it to patch isro to the same look as ksro got too.
Can make empty modell mesh-s or just don't render them.
But can't find the missing byte to render the missing body parts.
Or do I, thinking an other way to do it atm.

Some of them you will need to set higher, and some of them you need to set lower. It took me some trial and error to find the right ones. But the bit you need is from ' 4:20+ From there you see knockdown's with spear stabs etc etc etc.
I know you can switch fast for like stabs etc, but throwing a blade? Lmao.

Hmm, did they do that through modding though? I saw a few times where they did the old weapon switch. My skill mods go completely over other skills. The hard fire protection and grasswalk speed in my video are actually just modded lower book skills, and Shura is modded over Heaven chain so that whenever I use Heaven chain, it looks like Shura. No weapon switching involved. I actually got the idea to put Shura over another skill from this video because I thought it looked cool, but even that video is still weapon switching.

Going to wait  getting crashes all the time, and pain to relog, reedit.
What u edit with, xvi32 sux for copy/paste just like most editor, they
like to change file sizes by inserting and not replacing.

That is a nice simple editor, had to find a few settings but now it's fine.
Finaly could edit what needed.
Done  found bytes to change so ingame same as ksro.
Character creation screen still the same, saw a few bytes change that too
but too many variations to find out the right settings.
