about dusk armor i actually use it a lot both pvp and pve in pvp when fighting a melee type they are usually pure str so every attk counts most of the time in pvp i keep my enemy stun/sleep so having it there as continual damage while the char on me is stunned is good in pve i use it for crowd control if theres a giant party that everyone is trying to kill but there are also more mobs around it that are attcking everyone i usually throw it on so the aoe from the giant will kill it

Glavie's Girl wrote: Fug_Dup do you do much pvp yet? Well, I no longer play this character but I used to PvP a lot when I did. I was a huge PvP junkie. XD As for this new Warlock/Bard I'm making, I haven't PvP'ed much because I'm trying to level. The times I have PvP'ed it's been great overall although I do miss the healing from havinga Cleric sub. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I have an NPC set so I'll see how it goes once I get my old 8D set.

Switched to bard/warlock, so thats what the new signature is about. I understand now. Well now that I am capped and doing more pvp, though my gears is no where near perfect but I am working on it, I find pvp to have its ups and downs. Seems there are certain builds that just whip the floor with me, and others that I sneeze on and they die. I also seem to find that I can pvp a person a few times, and after awhile they stop pvping me all together. Used to go afk in cape and come back to a dead char in the amount of time it took to get a glass of water, now I cape up and no one touches me, its kinda annouying actually. Also I have an enemy that is warrior, and is fully farmed two-hand,one-hand, and axe. He resists everything I have even if he isnt holding axe and with no holyward. I have a friend whom doesnt have axe passive farmed and without holyward he doesnt resist at all. Which makes me think that though the axe passive doesnt work like other euro passives it seems that the axe mastery passive grants immunity no matter what warrior weapon is held. Ever came accross this issue, or am I going nutz again? lol

Oh, I didn't switch. I made a new character altogether. xD I still have my Warlock/Cleric but it's inactive. Warlocks are faced with the challenge of not having any defense passives so even at high levels you won't be able to tank much damage. Having a Cleric sub does help tons, but from experience, a Warrior giving you fences and/or Pain Quota makes you unstoppable. This is a great soloing build but, like other Euro builds, it needs external buffs to see its full potential. Of course, then you'll get people crying that you have Euro buffs on -.-. Warrior PvP can be challenging but not impossible. Study the enemy's routine and figure out where you can plant your stuns and Shield Trashes. When I was a high level on my Warlock/Cleric, I don't think there were many challenging Warriors at the time because Euro was still pretty new and not many people fully understood it so most Warriors I faced weren't as troublesome as current Warriors we have now. I had the same issue on my Warrior/Warlock where no one would PvP me anymore so eventually it got super boring that I decided to quit that character. xD It was good while it lasted. =)
About the Dual Axe passive, it can be annoying but there's not much you can do about it, unfortunately. I know for a fact that the debuffs can still land on them but it takes a few tries before that happens, and as an INT build, it can be very frustrating. I PvP'd a level 90 Dual Axe sub-bard on my level 82 Warrior/Warlock once and it took 3 HP Leeches before Disease Status landed and 2 tries of each debuff before they took effect as well. (Needless to say, I killed him after they were fully debuffed. XD) But yes, the passive is bugged and I really hope JM fixes it soon. =( I do enjoy the complexity of the Warlock mastery though. I think that's why I keep making them.

I farmed this beast 2 weeks ago, and now I'm 0 gapping. Sub cleric saves me almost 50% of all pvps in winning. And I totally forgot the shield trash. I prefer HSpell2, HRD, Bless maxed and Orbit2. (cleric 82 atm) And this FW was pretty interesting and i got 3 times more kills cause I'm farmed now. I can kill any build, chi or euro, doesn't matter. What matters is the 20% probability to resist my stuns and panic. Only glaviers and 2h/cleric are tough to suck all that HP down. When I'm fenced, I'm unstoppable. Fug, thanks again with this guide man, you inspired me on the beginning. These are the basic essentials in the guide a warlock should know. Everything else after depends on your playing style.

Having Shield trash for so long it would bother me to remove it for the ten lvls in cleric. The build can work both ways, my server leans more towards str based chars, not many ints and if it is an int its usually a wizard.
I still think there is a glitch with the axe passive, but I am not farmed so that might be the real reason I am being resisted so much. One more pt plus and I should be farmed I beleive.
In FW I find unless I can get the other people alone, the wizard in my party ends up using my debuffs to kill the other players with just AoE splash. Nothing brings up kill count faster then three kills per nuke! hehe
When doing group pvp, warlock is a support char, you are the reason the wizards can take out one handers in reverse obli with vit increase. My bless though at lvl 80 saves my team most of the time, and that shield trash I can knock that str off my cleric or wizard.
Also there are a few warlocks on my server, but overall my gear is better and getting better, the other sun warlock in my union wears light armor with around 10k hp, I am in robe and with around 13.5k hp. I still have my 15 stat points and I am really leaning towards adding those to str. I can kill people just fine now, but I cant stay alive long enough to get any debuff on a warroir, the one build that troubles me the most. Str not only adds hp points, but it adds phy defense, and my hp pots will heal for more.
*random thoughts on warlocks, its morning forgive me lol*

Thinking about skill bar set up,it would be intresting to see where everyone puts there skills as a warlock/cleric, and why its different.

My funky skillbar, I've got repeat skills and other miscellaneous stuff but it works. F1- Main solo PVP/PVE Bar. I would like to have Shield Trash instead of Dusk Armor but it was deleveled. F2- Random skills & Nukes. It could be more efficient, since pvp takes some switching between floating for buffs, F1 to debuff, and F2 to nuke. Both 1 keys have Wrath daze on it, it's easy to remember that way. Gotten used to it F3- Party skillbar! F4- Minimal Cleric skills, main heals, buffs, and res. Floating- Vampire Kiss/Touch, weapons, Cleric skills & Vigors (Right click most of them). Healing Cycle is right next to the cleric rod, making it easy to self heal with the space bar and switch back to Warlock rod. Mouse- Stun. Very useful.

Check here and see for yourself: NivlamAdvancechao, One question: With healing cycle you have to change weapons, and with the single healing cycle you have to select yourself, and then reselect the enemy. The Party heal skill makes sure you put healing on yourself and not lag and put it on your enemy. So I was just wondering if that every happens to you or not?

I don't use healing cycle that much in PVP because usually the opponent is strong enough to 1 hit KO me, so it's better to spend that time stunning, debuffing, or running But I use it over healing orbit because they both heal approximately the same amount of HP but cycle is instant cast and takes half the MP to use. Plus I had 50 levels to get used to Cycle while pvping so it's just a habit. Selecting isn't an issue, after you get used to it you can do it really fast, and I've never healed the opponent before ^^

This done constantly makes you highly annouying to pvp.

Its more annouying to run into the middle of a cape pvp, cast an aoe dot and use chaos screen to make yourself go white to the capers and leaves those pilling going "Wtf, who did that?!?" though eventually people start remembering your name. lol

Bard has always interested me (my Warlock/Cleric I based this guide on began as a Warlock/Bard) but I have never actually used one other than for speed buffs or tambours/dances. So far I am enjoying it very much. Perhaps enough to make a new guide soon.

thanks I'm almost positive that Euros still gain magical damage after 100% mag balance, but yes, a Warlock is one of those builds that could be a very good hybrid. =)
