Here is a litle faq about the new item mall/ingame pet.
Q) What is a wolf?
A) THe wolf is the new pet in Silkroad Online. It can be bought in the item mall or ingame. It can atack and level up just like the character it is owned by.
Q) What is the difference between the two wolves?
Hardly anything. The only differenecs are that the item mall wolf is white in color, and the ingame wolf is grey. Also the item mall wolf CANOT be traded, whilst the ingame can.
Q) How much do the wolves cost?
The grey wolf (ingame bought) is 1,000,000 gold. The item mall wolf is 130 silk.
Q) Can I sumon my wolf with a monkey?
Yes, however you MAY NOT summon it with another wolf.
Q) How does the wolf level up?
When the wolf is summoned, it will gain experience when you fight monsters. The wolf does not take experience away that you recive, however it gains its own experience. The stronger the monster the more experience it will gain. Also, the wolf does not have to atack in order to gain experience.
Q)How do I heal/revive my wolf when it is injured?
To heal you wolf all you need are horse pills, to revive it you must buy a grass of life from the horse keeper which costs 50 000$
Q) What is hunger status?
When the wolf is ou t running around, fighting monsters it will eventually get hungry (like in real life). To cure that, buy a potion from the horse keeper to keep you'r wolf happy (it costs 2000 and heals 10% of the total hungry status).
Q) What are the different stages of the wolf?
The wolf will grow a litle once it reaches level 20, and then again at 30. It will change it's entire shape at level 40.
Q) What happens when my wolfs hunger bar reaches 0?
You'r wolf will die! Don't let it happen.
Q) Is there an auto-pot for wolf?
No
Q) Does the wolf take away expereince if the wolf atacks the same monster I am atacking?
No, the expereince between the wolf and the player is completly seprate. The wolf does not affect the experience that you gain.
Q) Can I ride my wolf?
No, you will NEVER be able to ride your wolf.

Don't know if someone else mentioned it somewehre, but using Harmony therapy and a wolf you can kill monsters without risk.
Create a circle of Harmony Therapy and sit in it. Click on a monster and tell Wolfie to attack. He does and watch what happens...!!! The monster doesn't fight back.
Apparently he is safe because you are in the circle..... I've tried it on numerous occassions and as long as monsters arent'able to hurt you in the circle they won't hurt the wolf. So killing might take longer, but it's a lot safer, you just have to conjure up a circle every few minutes.
I was doing the Earth Taoist quest and nearly ran out of potions so I was pressed to go back to town. To regain HP I created a circe and sat down. The I noticed that the Taoist that was bothering Wolfie stopped attacking him. Then I sent wolf out to kill while I remained seated. I got the last 6 charms and returned to town.....
Probably will be fixed soon, but usable....
Let the wolf do the fighting

I don't really see why they'd bother fixing that. The wolf kills WAY WAY slower then a player would and he gets the same exp killing by himself as he does if you kill.

Yeah, might as well use pots and fight. Spiffy trick when you're bored though.

One other possible difference. The item mall wolf only costs 1 to store. I don't know the cost of the stable wolf but think I heard someone say they spent thousands to store.

i plan to get a wolf soon..so I would like to ask about the hungry status of the wolf. Does it get hungry easily? because the "food" is quite expensive actually if it gets hungry fast

oh..forgot to ask..there's one more ques. Let's say i plan to open stall when I went to bed. So since my wolf will just stay there doing nothing, I was thinking whether I can unsummon the wolf so that to prevent it dying from hunger and summon it back when I'm playing again? Issit possible to do so? Will there be any effect on the wolf if I keep on unsummon and summon back?

Personally I store the wolf when I am going to an area with a lot of agro mobs and plan on spending a lot of time there. Opens up the inventory slots the scroll, hunger, and grass take up.
Yes unsommun the wolf if afk from stall. The wolf will get hungry if just standing there but not if unsummoned.
You don't really need to worry about hunger early. The wolf levels faster than it starves. Every time it levels the hunger resets.

I've tried this and it is so funny to watch. coz some times the mobs start running and the wolf is chasing them.

I saw a nice way to level your wolf. I saw some high leveled player with armored horses letting their wolves fight off bandits. It was funny how some players were getting ksed by wolves. They went afk for a bit, then came back on.

I'm pretty sure that's false, there has been a pic of a 89 (I beleive) wolf that was the same of the 40 wolf.

Unlimited time. Just a different color, real $$$ instead of gold, untradeable and cheaper to store.

i like to use my wolf efficiently, by making him attack a seperate mob...
meaning, while i make him attack 1 mob i go attck another, he may take a little longer to kill them but that way both me and my wolf are getting exp efficiently and at a faster and higher rate.... all i need to do is even out our lvls a bit more so we can fight the same monsters with no problem... i oftenly make a harmony therapy and let my wolf attack but normally i just do it if im low on pots, coz i got used to auto potting...
but its really nothing special to watch your wolf attack wile the other mob doesnt attack back...

That's what I do too. Set up a harmony circle, send wolfie after a mob outside bow range, and pick off a different mob with the bow. We both level up faster.

http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=9363&highlight=lvl++wolf My mistake, the wolf was only level 80
