Obviously, the fastest way to make money is buying and selling items. Sure, grinding your ass off in hopes of an sos drop will pay off eventually, but nothing beats the steady income of merchanting items. The main basis of buying and selling is
supply and demand. As you've probably noticed, items will increase and decrease with time due to the overall
demand of the item. If the
supply is too high, people will sell for less. Another great factor is
time.
Let's take a look at a few examples:
-Example 1:
Chinese 6D SOS weapons were worth approximately 18million clean before european race came out. Supply was high, but so was the demand for these items. European comes out, people begin selling their 6D SOS so they're able to afford european SOS items. Due to the mass amount of people selling 6D SOS, the prices begin dropping, because players will sell for less to beat the competition.
-That is a common example of mass supply and demand---this should be fairly easy to understand and predict (next mass supply and demand will be opening of 90 cap)
-Example 2:
Someone is selling a SOS 8D blade. He begins by asking for 140M. No offers have come in above 100M for the past 3-4 days, he will eventually drop the price to 110M or so. The person who buys the item will add +'s to it and blues. He stalls it for 160M and it's sold the next day.
-Time (patience if you prefer it) will greatly affect the pricing of items, so will +'s, blues, whites.
But now let's say, you don't have enough money for merchanting SOS items. No worries, supply and demand exists in all kinds of items!
The path of money making---prices range from lowest to highest

weapon elixirs (same...stall network=SN)
-Depends on server, go through DW-Hotan stall network and get a general idea for prices
-Buy the cheapest ones (150k- is recommended, cheaper prices are usually found in DW due to less ppl and more bot stallers selling)
-Stall when you're afk at medium prices in hotan (190-200k)

low degree sos (gonna have to browse Dongwhang stalls for that)
-Browse stalls in DW, try to find weapons as they tend to sell faster
-Not sure about this in all servers, but alot of high lvls buy 1-2d sos/som/sun for pvp fun-take advantage of this as they'll usually pay 3-5x normal prices!
-Try finding stalls with cheap sos from high lvls or go to hotan and search through network a bit
-Resell items at average pricing (you'll need to judge this yourself)
4.
STR stones/tabs 8D (SN)
-these prices are fairly stable and easy to tell which are cheap
-buy it 200k-300k cheaper than normal (NOTE: the 10-30% of attribute assimilation is a BIG difference in pricing, make sure you understand that first!)-also, watch out for globallers selling packs of these as they will usually sell 500k cheaper
-Stall 100k-50k cheaper than normal pricing for fast selling (please don't stall them 100k-50k chepaer than what you bought, that's just counterproductive)
5.
High degree sos (Hotan botter stalls mainly..sometimes DW)
-get a sense of 8D sos weapons/equipment (pieces of equipment will vary GREATLY)
-mostly timing on selling of the item
-NOTE: +5-+7 in higher levels will have a GREAT impact, you will need to get familiar with these differences first.

72 clean weapons:
-Search through stall network
-Find 72 weapons between 3-7m with good critical and phy. or mag. %'s depending on weapon type
-Try to +5 the weapon, costs between 10-20m (1 if you're lucky lol) and resell for 45m+

DO THIS AFTER 100M (begin pimping the sos/som/sun that you got for cheap from stalls, sun is recommended)

Personal advice for pimping:
*Add blues first
*Add +'s
*Then mess around with whites when necessary (try not to pimp whites, they're a pain)
After you get a nice amount of money (200M+), invest in (remember to buy them at the cheapest pricing possible):
-monster scrolls
-santa sets
-GDF
-rudolphs
-pandoras
-It will be awhile, but even earth ghost masks will rise in price!
-The monster masks of genies and stuff will eventually rise, but I'm not sure to how much....doesn't look like it'll have much potential
Discontinued items (cannot get them anymore except through exchange of other player) will only rise in price!
