This was prepared to answer somebody's question in the Q&A Forum.
But it helped me out a lot in the process of thinking so I'll put it here

The original question was: Can you achieve 100% Ice (status) reduce?

This depends on how the game handles status effect reduces.

8th degree accessories can be maxed with 20% Ice resistance.
Note: That's what I remember it is. Also the maximum resistance you can get on the accessory depends on the degree of the item. On lower degree items the maximum values are lower.

Calculation:

4 accessories x 20% resistance = 80% resistance max (at current stage of game. This might change due to the unlockage of 9th degree accessories)

Also you can use that in combination with Fire Shield series that reduces abnormal effect.
Fire Shield Emperior [Book 4 level 1] at level 68 gives -78 effect reduce.

Ice imbue: [Blook 4 level 3] at level 69 have 158 effect.

Again, whether or not you can achieve 100% depends on the way Silkroad client handles the effect reduce

Case 1: Takes % from accessory first, then the effect reduce by skill second.
Original effect: 158
158 x 20% (reduce 80%, 20% left) = 31.6. Rounded to 32
32 - 78 (abnormal reduce from skill) < 0.
100% ice effect reduce achieved.

Case 2: Takes effect reduce by skill first, then takes % from accessory
Original effect: 158
158 - 78 (abnormal reduce from skill) = 80
85 x 20% (reduce 80%, 20% left) = 16
158 effect reduced to 16.

Please feel free to leave any comment and corrections regarding the calculation.

So..when lvl70s say they are immune to ice..are they really immune to the highest lvl imbue and highest lvl frost nova? Maybe people are claiming to be ice immune howver in reality they are only immune to low lvl status effect. Since joymax have played about with certain skills and aspects of the game recently (to help rebalance the game) maybe they have changed the way that immunity is calculated..I for one hope that ice CAN be useful again as its sad to see 1 dimension builds, such as the pure str fire glavie...BORing. Any lvl70s with the highest lvl of immunity and the highest lvl ice imbue wana recheck this plz...

Well theoretically with the second option you can never reach immunity, as it will go into infinity.

Well welsh is right. I'm sure Joymax isn't nice enough to give us option 1
But then maybe 9D and 10D accessories, if not the level 150 ones will have maximum 25% ice reduce. Hehe.
