So im starting as a bard wiz and im around lvl 40ish now. I really like being bard, its fun especially when I get to attack in between mana cycles or pt giants (when I have zerk then after im done with zerk i just focus on mp healing tambours and keeping noise up etc.) I have some questions on my role in parties though. . .
and have some questions, about that, I get the dont move part, but the thing I dont get is the dont attack part. . .to me nuking in the middle of mp cycling is the most fun part, especially using the booming chord thing when mobs come close to the main ints now you said this below:
"Battle Bard. Your nukes is almost as good as chinese nukers. But the casting time is extremely fast. You will need 3 main nukes and 1 extra absolute damage skill. You will most probably 2 or 3 shots anyone without extra buffs or block. Nuke away when you have time in between healing mp for your party. Keep your tambour / dance up at all time and you will notice how fun it is to be a Bard. I will make a video of Bard in battle in future updates."
So im going to focus a little more on mp buffs etc and not attacking so much but ill still do it from time to time.
What are your thoughts on that? also skills and sp wise, did you just skip the bard attack skills untill the time you began farming? or did you take them and maybe staggered them back beyond your other skills to save sp?

About battle bard. I think i've said it before but if i missed it I'll say it now. Only Battle Bard when u're ready for it. By ready I mean ur capability of tanking 1-2 hits from pt mobs when they hit u in between nukes or running after nuking. If you're not gapped, have up to date armor / robes, why not? If you can tank couple of hits, why not? One thing u need to do is to be smart. Nuke when it's safe to do so. Booming chord / booming wave can be deadly if the tank lost the aggro on the mobs. If you cant tank couple of hits, dont do it. If you can, dont try to tank like a tanker. Hit and run if the mob comes after u. Continue hitting if the mobs didnt come after u.
I'll give u an example how to battle barding on higher lvl mobs. The video shows how we party when 100 cap opened. Try to do what I did and then change it to ur liking. Hope it will help.

wizz WILL solo faster. 1 hitting every mob while a Warlock has to DOT and still get hit from the mob (unless you're grinding on green)
A wizz can solo and 1 hit mobs like 3 lvls above him (with a good staff, not sox). No one beats his speed.
First legit lvl 100 on iSro is a Wizard/Bard in Venus =p _Gator.[/quote]
This is win.
The thing is, wizard can get that same beserk in 1-2 minutes as well. . .
Drug of Typhoon.
yeah I know we get speed. . .but 100% speed is CRAZY, I one shot Ujigis and when I use the typhoon I kill them faster because I get to them faster and I swear I get berzerk like ever 2 minutes. its crazy!
things drop more often cause im killing more mobs so I can just stall the equips and get more typhoons then when you DO get a party as bard, you dont even use any pots so you get the money back that way basically.
One request for guardia though, You advocate 0 gaping till lvl 87 so could you put in your guide a rundown of all the skills we can get while we're 0 gaping to 87? for both wizard and bard (since the wizz is for solo)
that would be a great help.

Guardia, on my server (Gaia) there are no parties except for lvl 99 parties. I hate grinding for a looooooong time. What should I do?
He'd know more specifics, but I have a 72 pure quasi-battlebard that I just 2-gapped all the way. Easier to grind. Although I did plvl him with my lvl 86 bard/cleric. 0-2 gap, you shouldn't need to grind nearly as much. Maybe do some quests to gain an advantage like zerk.
A bard should gain zerk pretty quick too.
Otherwise if you really hate grinding, SRO isn't set up any other way...it's just a grind.

I dont play anymore. Too busy with life. There's no big different or no different at all for 90 and 100 cap since there's no new skills. My last video were the lvl 99 pt and 1 tank party. Check it out in youtube.

Hi Guardia, Would a pure battle bard no sub be okay in party's and soloing? I know soloing would take a bit longer without a sub class but in party's I would most likely be fine?

Yes, as u can see from most of my videos, having wizard tree doesnt mean much except having teleport skill when u're barding in party. So, u'll be fine with bard alone. But make sure u're owesome with it.

sweet thanks, I might go battle bard/cleric and just cleric for recovery division, blesses, ress and bless spell. Except if I do get those and i'm in a party there will already be wizzies with sub cleric same as a main person clericing and if I switched to my cleric rod well barding I would prob lose all dances and tambours, ect.

When u're in a party, stick to ur job. Wiz with cleric sub can switch anytime to get bless up since nothing will change from wiz to cleric. But if u're barding, ur tambour will go down, ur dance will go down too. If u dont have a good second bard to get those 2 skills up and working, it would be a hassle to switch. Just stick to ur job.

Ok well I was thinking to just get Cleric for bless spell, Ress and a few heals so I could be able to solo and just incase everyone dies in my party I can ress em.

Buon Giorno, Sir. Just passing by; May i ask a question?
I made a Bard/Cleric. My question is: What to wear? Robes or LA?
With robes i get more speed and less mana comsuption, but with LA i get Mag/Phy defence bonus being a cleric. I know your guide is a Wizard as a sub-class, but with your bard knowledge, what would you choose?
Damn I must say today I tried my Bard/cleric for the first time and I loved it, I didn't fight a lot since I had a warrior healing so I kept having to mc him. I also found the cleric "bless spell" very useful when we were fighting giant partys.

Thanks.
I know you asked Guardia and I will defer to his knowledge as he capped, but I went with light armor all the way to 86. I had anticipated switching to robes at 90.
To me it depends on how sub your cleric is. I'm not sure that the 10% speed increase is really worth it, if you have bard and cleric masteries at the same level and the passives maxed. At lower levels I think the LA was very helpful.

It depends. If you plan on grinding solo sometimes, ofcourse you'll get the nukes. If you plan on being a pure support char, nukes are necessary, but I would get them anyways.
