Odyssey, now welcomes and is recruiting all new legit players looking for a home on Venus.

Part of the main 3 unions on the server who strive for a legit community, Odyssey is the lead guild in its union.
Current job status is Thief with some trader/hunter. Euro and Chinese chars accepted.

Basic Rules:

1. No Botting
2. No power leveling by bots
3. No Excessive power leveling (the more you play the better player you will be)
4. Do not discriminate other players
5. Have a positive attitude and overall have fun.

We have a solid active base of approximately 35 (+/-) Currently full at the moment. However any seriously interested candidates may apply for consideration pending any future inactives in the guild.

Sapphire 20/35 lvl 4 GM: DeputyDan (Level Requirment: None)

Mainly players under lvl 40 in this guild. Solid active base of approximately 15 (current rev6 lists 17).Odyssey's Sister guild. Constantly kicking in actives, recruiting new members. We are very proud of the guild making lvl 4 already.


Apocalypse 16/50 lvl 5 GM: Apocolypse (Level Requirment: None)

Not sure about active solid base. (Current rev6 lists 12)


Holocaust 6/35 lvl 4 GM: Tweedledum (Level Requirment: None)

Alt char stalling point. Would like to see this guild become active.

why is it that every time i look over my shoulder, another group of "legits" is kissing bot ass just to try and get ahead?

kewties post on ur forums was pmed to me by a friend. i read it. all i see is more crybaby crap about how your too poor and beaten down and cant take all the drama /cut /cut and that bots are people too and we should all be nice and hold hands and turn back time and undo everything all the legits have fought for in the past half year.

dont cross that line. the day i see a bot in your parties will be the day all your guild and union will be permanently banned from all avalon parties from here on. im tired of baby sitting your guild and holding you hand every time you dont feel powerfull enough and make one of your epic plays for more power.

if u want to redefine legit, go find a new server.

Dunno about them joining bot parties, but yesterday I was in a party on penons when witchhazel came and started ksing us all (casting metor on pt giants, AoEing our lures etc), he was plvling some guy from his union. Ok for the plvl but ksin legit parties doesn't sound that fair for me. Got a few people who were there and saw it, only I didn't take a good screenie about it.

I say to everyone, I personally wouldn't party with such and such person/guild/union for <insert reason here> but i'm not going to tell anyone what so ever, how they should play. People are playing this game to have fun, I'm not spoiling their fun. Thats wrong. And morally you should really re-think that.

I am not exactly sure what you all think is bot ass kissing, but that is not the case nor will it ever be. And if you are refering to the post that I made on our website, then anyone can go read it. It simply states that although we made a choice to be legit, we do not have the right to tell ppl who they can and can't play with. Something I was once told directly on vent from nightbloom and Fly. My union members know what our rules are. They know how to play legit. But I can not and will not tell them who they can and can not party with. I will not threaten them into compliance. And if this means that we are not allowed into Avalon parties then so be it. This has nothing to do with not being in power. I guess some people don't get it, we are not looking for power. We are not looking for hand outs. We are playing with the people we have chosen to play with. Not the people that we are ordered to play with. Do I hate botters...yup sure do. Will I let them in my parties, nope sure won't. But I am not going to threaten people with force and scare tactics if they let someone into their own party.

There is only one kind of lower lvl party that we will do and that is with our own union members. In fact, the part in which I believe Feataler is refering to is the one we did on the ice in the penons,2 days ago, in which we DID NOT ks the legit Hurricane party there. In fact I debuffed the ptg and tried to help them so they could kill it faster since it was killing them. If he would have spent less time being AFK he would have seen what was actually going on. We stayed away from their mobs. And yes we did ks the bots. And there was only our union members in the party that we were doing. I also gave the other legit party mana cycle as well while they were killng the ptg. The bots were out in full force that night. I think Feataler is still holding something against us because he is no longer in our union. And I think it is time for him to let go and move on. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

To sum it up, yes, our union members feel that this game is losing its goal of being fun. And yes our union members have the right to determine the way in which they want to play. And as long as it does not go against the rules we set forth, before we joined avalon and the same rules after we left, then they are fine by me. Not everyone was intended to be a hard core militarisitic player. The bs that has ensued is just rediculous. And if anyone thinks that they can threaten other players with wiping out their entire party because someone in another union has decided who they can and can not play with then I guess we just have come to an impass. I have not told you to stop what you are doing. And I do not expect for you to think it is ok to dictate the way in which people chose to play their own personal game. But here is the big news flash..... you can't tell us to leave a server we love. You did most certainly not make this the server I love. The guild members that I play with make this the server that I love and will continue to make it the server I love. And quite frankly I am really sick and tired of all the bs that is brought upon legits by legits. Just because we do not take your same approach does not make us less worthy of playing or being here. This is just getting pathetic. Anyones who wants to see my post is more than welcome to go and read it for themselves.

Since when the hell did guild recruitment posts become grounds for spewing shit and flaming at another legit player? What they hell has happened to venus? And you would be suprised at how many people secretly ask themself this same question every day. You wanna kick us out of parties, go for it. You wanna ignore me in game, I am used to it already. But this has not and will not change my game for me. You do not control me, my guild or my union. And like I said in my pm to you other day Fly.....If I have to stay at lvl 69 (now 70) then so be it. But I will not bend over and kiss bots asses nor will I kiss yours. Up until the pm you sent me back, and this thread I thought of you as a reasonable and level headed person. You need to take a little time out and think about what you say before you say it. So go for it, tell all of your union from now on they need to ban us from your parties and kill the entire party. Take the legits on now. But it isn't going to make me bend over and fall to my knees at your mercy. This is just really making the whole cause you work for seem like a 3 ringed circus. Kill the bots and shun the legits. That seems like a great plan for server domination. Really is this a war on bots, or a true and total power trip?

Here is what everyone agrees on:

1. Do not Bot
2. Do not get Power Level from bots
3. Do not buy gold
4. Do not .Pk2 Edit

Here is the point of disagreement:

1. Do not party with players from non-legit guilds

As a Chinese, I'm only occasionally in share parties. The last one I joined had a few union members and a few bot guild members in it and I asked what the deal was. The legits insisted the other players were legit so I stuck around. The bot-guild players were generally poor players. The union players were generally good players. Eventually leadership ended up with a bot-guild player and when I insisted that the person boot a new party member from some guild named "fck_avalon" (or something) they did immediately. Moral of the story? I dunno. w/e.

I don't want to make life comfortable or convenient for botters on Venus. I want them to continue to suck at playing. When we have three fortresses owned by BHA, Odyssey and Avalon, I want the botters to get as owned as they're getting now. I think botters are selfish, spoiled, lazy little brats. Personally, between their awful play and pubescent opinions, I'm not sure why anyone would want to party with them or talk to them. It's no wonder legit guilds keep having to kick botters. They sure as hell don't want to hang out with each other.

That being said, I don't feel like I'm in a position to boot a member of the guild for partying with someone from a bot guild. I think if I take the time and explain to my members why we hate bots and that we're only hurting ourselves if we make Venus comfortable for them, eventually they'll agree. I'm sympathetic to both sides here, and eventually I want to see all the bots of Venus gone or converted. In the meantime, if it takes one of my legit members a bit longer to see the big picture, I'll work with him until he does.

That is a more reasonable rule. Personally I enjoy changing my weapons to higher level weapons for motivation. As long as it isn't the invisible cheat I don't see why we can't pk2 edit.

Well said death. Ain't no one running my first lvl 80 char from Venus.. I will defend my Union and it's core values longs before I will support Avalon's or whoever is making these new decision's values in making this a fair server for people to play on. Not once have I said I support botting, not once have I left a botter in my guild. I stated my guild can party with whomever "THEY" choose. Fly does not dictate the rules of Odyssey. Nor will he ever. End of Story.


P.S. Two new members joined Odyssey today. Legit players. Thank you for reading this post for it's intended purpose and looking past the bullshit.

Im going to be kinder and gentler.. But the story is the same.

A. We dont want the bots to level with legit help.
B. We dont want them to feel accepted in the server.
C. We dont want them to learn how a legit plays, ie; get better at PVP
D. We dont want them picking apart the legit movement at the seams.

There are a lot of legits. We regularly have two full parties at the Gens and are always looking for more members. I see very few Odyssey members out there. Id hate to think you feel that partying with bots is what you feel you need to do to get a party together. I made a tank because the need was so great and to generate parties.

If the parties were exceptionally scarce, Id be more sympathetic. But they arent. There are alot of people just waiting for a chance to grind.

You are right in several aspects. However "We" doesn't include Odyssey. Odyssey Union is not part of Avalon, and in the past Odyssey has barely been known as a "Legit Guild" in the eyes of Avalon. Please don't make me reference old posts in that respect. Yes, there are alot of Gens parties out there, and Odyssey's members are just now making it into those levels for those parties. Don't forget, Odyssey is kinda known as the Tank guild. The server lacks clerics, not tanks. And I mean good clerics. I know I'm now a good cleric, but I try.

My point being, if Odyssey is going to just be tossed aside as the "kinda legit" union, or "that other" legit union, and not respected for the things we have done, then I see no reason what so ever to support the cause of Avalon anymore. I made alot of enemies in my road to a "Legit Server" and some of those people didn't deserve the harshness I gave them. Just as Odyssey hasn't deserved the discredit it is given day by day from the Legit Unions on the server.

I foremost would like to thank every for ruining my recruitment post. I don't really feel that the stuff talked about in here was appropriate. I really hope in the future we can make better judgement on our quick replies to topics.

Give me botters to fight any day, cause when the legits start turning against it, its gonna be over. When you kill Venus and make it like Xian, no one will thank you for it. In Hera, the legit guilds have slowly started saying, "The game is about fun and we should be able to do what we want!"

Well, SpirituS, the largest bot Union on server, is the fortress owner and legits are bailing from the server right and left. Former botters gone legit are just going back to botting. The legit movement is bleeding out in that server and dying.

Do what you like...but if you are going to support bots and help them level, I cannot support you for it. Making Venus legit has been our sole goal since the second it opened and we have been succeeding. Venus has the largest legit population on SRO and isnt because we love thy botting neighbor. Legits have come to help and support what we are trying to do because it is the players' last ditch effort to do something about the problem.
