I've been fooling around a bit on PTR today. :)

Couldn't copy my char(s) yet so I made a noob and explored SW and some new things.

Screenshots for anyone interested in seeing some new stuff:

Spoiler!

edit: I copied 4 of my characters to the test realm, hope I can try the new talents tomorrow. (Mage @ 70, rogue @ 70, Druid @ 61 and Warrior @ 53)

First of all: Blood elf is gay.

Anyways, it's a Paladin. He can tank/dps/heal. All in 1 package, same as druids.
Getting major revamps and buffs in wotlk so it's a good choice.

My characters have just been copied and Ive been testing them a bit now, its farking awesome.

Cat form now has a charge like ability, my arcane mage has 100 resistance on everything with talents + mage armor ('fair' protection at lvl 70) and arcane barrage has only 3 sec cooldown. I just dont know where to start and what all to tell but this patch will be awesome ^^

I just hit a 3476 ferocious bite crit at lvl 61 as catdruid without trinket and selfbuffed. (tigers fury + faerie fire 5cp on lvl 1 target dummy)

Back to testing now

Where did you find the level 1 test dummy?

I am in the beta as well. Warlock damage is absolutely through the roof.
There's also a 30% movement penalty at the end of fear.. wtf were the devs thinking.
Oh well, it's not bad having a few op talents :P

I love how people complain about balance issues in the beta as if it will impact them tomorrow.

idd especially since its supposed to be mostly balanced at 80, not only on 70 as in ptr.

Yeah that's what I heard myself too, but I have no complaints.
I don't really know what these warlocks are whining about.

I duelled a Rogue on PTR who had S3 shoulders S4 weapons so was pretty skilled and I just owned him. WITHOUT Soul link, mind you.
It's obviously because I am super skilled, but more because of instant howl of terror and death coil.
We now have that extra getaway warlocks needed against Rogues. You're guaranteed a good fear against a Rogue in a duel. In a good fear the fight is just over.
I can land Haunt + UA + Immo + Corr + coa + Siphon life in the fear and the damage is just too much.

And the cherry on top of the cake: Mortal Strike on HoT effects through the new Shadow Embrace.
Whatever these devs are smoking, I want in on it!
The times of druids outhealing dots with just a lifebloom or two are over.

The bad thing is that it requires shadowbolt to apply SE now. But with glyphs nightfall proccrate will be 12%, more than enough to keep up SE on pretty much every target.

I really don't understand what these warlocks are whining about. They´re probably PvE or something, I don´t know.
Warlock changes look extremely promising. Even if Affliction turns out to not scale as well as it does right now I could still go Demonology and play heavy burst teams.
600% increased armor, get to keep my pet and _40%_ more damage.
Less duration on snares, a Farking charge, instant immolates. Warlocks are not going to be bad.
The 5 min cd sucks. But for +40% dmg it's more than justified.

Actually, if this Metamorphosis talent reaches live I'd piss myself laughing. +40% dmg for 45 seconds.
If that doesn't win me fights nothing will.

Private server thread is that way ----------->

On an unrelated note, I got my blue pants from Ramps last night. At long last. ~_~ Not many greens left now actually but I'm figuring these blues will all get replaced sometime before 70. (no doubt on the way to 80) Now to find a good blue mail waist with gem slots to replace my current rogue belt. >_< (gotta make do with what you can for the stats afterall)

pserver =/= live

All the kiddies there roll rogues, because its generally the class with the least bugs, and it requires no real skill to just stunlock.

Private server is always a lot different than retail.

Anyways, Rogue is a 1v1 class based on cooldowns. If a rogue pops all his cooldowns in a 1v1 fight it's bound to be a hard fight.

If they had a whole new standalone game, I would buy it.

I just don't want to invest that much money into a game which I might dislike, If I do love it [probably would] then I have to find friends, a Aussie guild, active guild, good gear, etc.

And... ? Is that too much to ask when you play a game?

There's a whole bunch of servers on AEST.
Myself being on one of them.
there being plenty of guilds on each of them
Good gear taking time and effort which you can get with other people (in reference to PvE, not PvP's welfares)
etc etc etc

Don't except to be spoonfed in this game.
