On here it's like I see a guy and within a matter of milliseconds I'm dead and respawning. I mean is it just me... or? On the bright side...I finally got camo for my guns. I love Tiger and Siberian camo. Yeah sometimes it feels like 2 bullets kill me, but like ^ said...It might just be the dmg display thingy. I certainly know it doesn't kill fast seeing how you need 5+ bullets often. Yea...and I hate how it sometimes takes my whole famas clip to kill some of these guys too. And then they go in second chance.

Exactly! hahaha...I never have and never will use second chance/last stand perk. I personally just don't like it and I think it's noobish.

Well it's better than final stand death streak from mw2 where they could use their normal weapon. Here they get a pistol atleast hehe

I was hesitant to buy it for the PC at first, as there are so many problems with the performance but I saw an offer I couldn't resist. At first it ran horrible but with some commandline tweaking I'm now running a steady 45-60 FPS at 2560x1440. If they do patch up the game let's hope performance will be even better and FPS wont dip under the 60. Game is extremely fun to play and I'm now level 10. Don't know if ill be prestiging or not.

Earlier today I ran into a lvl 24 first prestige >.> Some people go a bit over the top lol.
I would prestige, it's pretty easy to lvl up. You get challenges for so many things, I get like 2/3/4 challenges each match lol

Variable scope helps with quickscoping a lot. Still kinda random though, almost all of my shots that are on target hit the enemy. Just make sure you are in the 2nd or 3rd zoom.
lvl 29 now. I'm liking a lot of the guns and for the most part it's been fun. I hate that chopper gunner though. In one match I died 6 times trying to shoot it out of the sky and even then it ended up flying away >.<

Omg I loved going through the First page of this thread looking at all the negative comments. Just for it to turn a complete 180 and get Positive feedback like crazy.

I'm terrible at this game and I played too much Modern Warfare 2, so when I picked up the FAMAS I was trying to burst fire it. So I started raging at my 1.73 K/DR. Then I realized it is full auto, facepalmed hard, and went back to 2.3 K/DRish.

Guns have alot of recoil compared to MW2 lol xD Compared to cod4 it's not that bad. Sniping with crossbow is possible with some practise xD I'm at a ~2 k/d. It was at like 2.88 but yeah I changed my playstyle too late hehe.

but is there an actual crossbow meant for sniping? And have the maps been improved a bit for sniping? MW2 had a lot of CQC, and most maps weren't really good for sniping. is it better now?

Not really, same as MW2 IMO. There are some night line of sights and enough of small corridors. And well you can't put a scope on the xbow like in the campaign. And the arrow goes with an arch ofcourse so you will have to practise alot if you want to shoot over longer distances.

In sp, the crossbow can be toggled between explosive bolts, and variable scope (basically a sniper rifle with regular bolts.)

So I think the only thing that really affects me there would be the hitmarker problem. Btw, sleight of hand = faster reloading, right? I understand people loved to quickscope in CoD, but this really isn't the end of the world. If the damage is really as bad as people claim it to be, then there is a chance we will get a slight boost in damage with a patch. But honestly, there has always been complaints about hitmarkers in the new Cod titles.

But honestly, there has always been complaints about hitmarkers in the new Cod titles. The developers just failed hard, and it's annoying. It's like they watched the quickscope montages and went 'omg thats rigged!' and nerfed sniping. Now not only can you not quickscope, but sniping itself is almost useless. How about adressing the problem that assault rifles trump every single gun in the game regardless. I didn't quickscope because it rapes everyone, I did it because it was fun. If I was tired of losing I'd get out the SCAR and go 60-4 like every other game. So far black ops annoys me because of sniping fail endless lag The lag will subside eventually..I hope. The sniping fail is a pretty big change which I really doubt they'd 'fix'.

Thee_UniQue wrote: Been playing online splitscreen with my brother, awesome fun :p level 24 atm Whoa whoa whoa, as in you can play online with more than one person? Halo split-screen? If so, Treyarch is impressing me with the amount of features they have added. I know what you mean Azilius. I like sniping a ton. I am sure if it's off by a significant amount they will fix it. But maybe they are trying to make this game a tad more realistic by making it harder to kill people. I don't know for sure since I am only seeing this through videos and what people post. Are the hitmarkers the same as MW2 where they happened here and there, or is it worse?

So far it's much worse.
This only makes noobtubing better. It takes 5-10 shots to kill someone now, but it only takes 1 noobtube or explosive projectile to kill me. Awesome.
Seems like I have to play this as I would CS:S, which was me aiming way higher than needed to almost ensure a headshot every time. Takes 3453423432 bullets to kill someone otherwise.

It has ALWAYS been like that, except before, you could use stopping power. This way is so much better. If a noob shoots you in the back, but sucks and can only hit you a couple times in a spray, you actually have a chance to turn around and kill him. I haven't seen a single noobtube used yet, probably because it's so inefficient to use it now.
