well it's coming out soon. at first i thought the game would be great and i loved the 2D/3D concept. but then they showed the werehog...and it all went downhill from there. luckily from the previews of the game so far, they are pretty postivie (at least for the wii). i expect an average rating of around 7.5 for the game. which isn't bad IMO. the stages look absolutely stunning and beautiful. i have only seen video of the first stage cause i figure it would be a much better experience to uncover the stages yourself.

but if you're interested, here's a video of the gameplay from the first stage. check it out.

*Watch it in High Quality!

will you get it?

from the previews so far, the wii version is the one faring the best even with graphical downgrades. in fact its the only version of the 3 consoles with a steady frame rate of 30 fps
the 360 reportedly cannot push out consistent 60 fps for a sonic game...

:!: i must remind you that we do not speak of it's name!
that game was a shame.

the only thing that can possible bring this game down however is the werehog concept. the "NormaL" sonic concept seems perfectly fine and as fast as a sonic game should be.

You have no clue what you are talking about. No console games run at 60 fps, not to mention that a TV does not display more than 24 frames per second.

meh i dont own a 360 or ps3 but im sure ive read about a lot of games (especially on ps3) that run on 60 fps. for 360 i think they just cant run at 60 fps with 1080p resolution. otherwise there are games that run at 60 fps.

but if you could prove me wrong go ahead. the point i was trying to make was that Sonic Unleashed suffered much more in terms of framerate on the "nex-gen" consoles when compared to the low but constant 30 fps on the Wii.

MGS4 on the PS3 is capped at 30 fps. The average frame rate on it is ~27. There's one example, anyway. The Wii version is inferior to the other versions. Frame rate is hardly a big issue when you have two game worlds cut out, and more werehog bullshit than in the other two versions.

Looks too easy, like you just press go and the game basically plays itself, you just keeping going forward as fats as you can, he got hit only once, whats the challenge in that...

here's what a simple google search got me (and the following is just ps3 games):

Code:
NOTE :- Ridge Racer 7 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 run at full HD @1080p @60 FPS . No x360 title runs at 1080p @ 60 FPS .

Full Auto 2: 1920x1080 AA 4x, bad framerate - PS3
NBA Street: 1920x1080 AA 4x (30-60fps) - 360
LocoRoco Cocoreccho 1920x1080 MSAA 2x -PS3
Tony Hawk Project 8: 1040x584 AA - 360
Tony Hawk Project 8: 1280x720 - PS3
Virtua Tennis 3: 1920x1080 AA 2x - PS3, 360
XMB: 1920x1080p - PS3
Dashboard: 1280x720p - 360
Perfect Dark Zero: 1138x640p - 360
Halo 3: 1138x640p - 360
Call of Duty 3: 1120x630p 360
Ninja Gaiden Sigma: 1280x720p PS3
Project Gotham Racing 3: 1024x600 360
Tomb Raider: 1024x600 360
Ridge Racer 7:
NBA 07: 1920x1080 - PS3
NBA 08: 1920x1080 - PS3
Tony Hawk Proving Ground: 600p - PS3
Tony Hawk Proving Ground: 720p - 360
GRAW2: 720p - PS3
GRAW2: 720p AA 2x - 360
Super Rub a Dub: 1600x1080 - PS3
GTHD: 1440x1080 - PS3
Super Stardust HD: 1280x1080 - PS3
Skate: 1536x864 - PS3
Skate: 1280x720 AA - 360
Bioshock: 1280x720 - 360
Harry Potter: 1280x720 MSAA 2x PS3 ?
Pixel Junk Racers: 1920x1080 PS3
Heavenly Sword: 1280x720 AA 4x PS3
Blast Factor Demo: 1920x1080 PS3
The Darkness Demo: 1024x576 PS3

and im sure theres more...

I understand what you're trying to say that framerate may not be as much of as an issue as other things (like the addition of 2 game worlds, not sure about that btw, and less game time on the werehog). I never said the wii version isnt inferior, atleast graphically/technically, but its not bad enough to not get the game at all.

ya but look at other videos on youtube of this level and you'll see a lot of people screwing up. this was one of the few players who posted a video in which they didn't screw up in the level. sure it could be an easy game but the point is that it looks much better than sonic A2B and you can't even compare sonic 06 with it.

in any case, im getting the game just for the daytime "true" Sonic levels. werehog is unfortunately something we must go with in order to unlock all the rest of the beautiful "true" Sonic levels.

You know not many, except those with well trained eyes, can see above 30FPS right, some can see 60 but not many. Movies are all 24-255FPS cause thats all the eye can see in video...

yeah but that wasn't eggman's business, eggman tried to kill chaos too. chaos shot eggman down. then sonic went super to defeat chaos

IGN video review of Sonic Unleashed:

http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/14242720 ... 12108.html

I think it's a pretty fair review. In fact I would agree with most of the points mentioned. Check it out if you're still considering buying the game.

I don't see what's so bad about the werehog parts. if they didn't put those in there the game would be way too monotonic. also the werehog has some pretty interresting moves...
